• Pretty much every time The Thing and H.E.R.B.I.E. get into an argument or insult each other qualifies as a Funny Moment.
  • In "A Monster Among Us", The Thing states that he only puts up with H.E.R.B.I.E. because he's the only being uglier than he is. H.E.R.B.I.E. replies that Ben Grimm is in a class all to himself.
  • In "The Phantom of Film City", The Thing talks about his dreams of being a movie star like Paul Newman and Robert Redford. H.E.R.B.I.E. trolls The Thing by adding King Kong to the list of movie stars he wants to be like.
• Magneto's interaction with a gas station attendant, who has the audacity to suggest his magnetic car needs gas. The mundanity of the argument, Magneto's overreaction, and the intense music add up to absolute hilarity.
  Magneto: Fuel is for lesser men. My vehicle needs no gas!
  Attendant: You're puttin' me on! Every car needs gas!
  Magneto: You witless young fool! This is not "every" car! Nobody may dare contradict me! For when they do, I get angry...
  [Magneto crushes a gas pump]
  Magneto: And when I get angry, THINGS begin to happen!
  [Magneto flips a passing pickup truck and crumples the gas station's sign]
  Attendant: No! No, it's impossible!
  Magneto: To me, NOTHING is impossible! I can do ANYTHING! And if you still don't believe me...
  Attendant: I believe you, I believe you! No more! Please, no more, I believe you!
  Magneto: Then stand aside! For I grow BORED with this charade!
