- Mirabel gets the Adaptational Comic Relief treatment in this fic, often roping Hiccup into her harebrained schemes with wacky results.
- While Augustin getting attacked by bees multiple times a day is a horrifying thing to think of, his blasé attitude towards it more than makes up for it. After Hiccup makes him a bee-proof suit, he ends up going without it because he loves his wife so much, he is perfectly willing to get attacked by bees as an excuse to see her throughout the day, which Hiccup points out might be the sappiest thing he's ever heard.
- When Antonio gets his gift, the first thing Toothless has Antonio tell Hiccup is that he's an idiot before also telling how much he means to him.
- After the miracle is restored, Toothless and Antonio's jaguar reach an understanding: they don't like each other, but they would both kill whoever would hurt Antonio. Hilarious and heartwarming.
- When Hiccup proclaims that he plans on leaving after finally finishing Toothless' tail, Mirabel is quick to list off the various reasons why he shouldn't. One of which is Bruno and Valentina's wedding, Mirabel already convinced that they're going to get married after only having one date. When Bruno tries interjecting, she already moves the conversation along and paying him no mind.
- The sheer number of Amusing Injuries Hiccup and Toothless get trying to relearn how to fly is made especially funny since they could get hurt all they want with Julieta's magically-healing food.
- The fact that Toothless (one of the deadliest dragons known to man who claims to be afraid of nothing) is cowed by Antonio getting mad at the dragon for taking Mirabel flying before him.
- When Dolores overhears that Hiccup has a crush on Mirabel, she tells Isabela (unaware that it's actually Camilo), only for it to Go Horribly Wrong and everyone in the family (aside from Alma and Mirabel) find out. The general feelings about this is a resounding Squee (accept for Isabela, who finds it more funny than anything) and their attempts at "helping" go predictably wrong.
- When Antonio tries to set the scene, it results in Hiccup's ruana getting covered in hummingbird poop.
- Toothless is perplexed by how overcomplicated human attraction can gets. All he really has to compare to it is how dragons do it: see another dragon, you do a mating dance and boom, mates for life.
- The fic establishes Julieta's food as the absolute best you would ever have. So when Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela and Camilo have their first meal on Berk, they are so disgusted by the poor quality that they all end up having a breakdown. Isabela asks if it counts as food, Mirabel calls it a crime in chicken-form, Luisa cries about how much she misses her mother and Camilo yells at everyone else in the Great Hall why they don't even salt it. Even Hiccup, who had grown up with a tolerance for it, pleads Toothless to take him back to the Encanto after growing used to Julieta's cooking.
- Apparently, Casita gets offended when the Madrigals try baby-proofing it. After all, it's already safe and it would never do anything to hurt any of them.
- When Mirabel's water breaks, Hiccup's reaction to it (being half-asleep at the time) is priceless.Hiccup: Then go fix it... [slowly falls back asleep, only to jolt back up] WHAT!?

- The way the Dragon Riders wind up finding Dagur after ten years of absence is when they happen upon each other by complete accident at Viggo's abandoned camp. Dagur then tries to save face with a mocking monologue about how unprepared he is by their reunion.Dagur: Oh my gosh! I-I had no idea you guys would be here! Seriously, look at me! I'm a mess! My hair isn't done, I'd have picked a way better outfit, I don't even have my evil speech ready!
