  • While Professor Botch is happily chattering about all the history in the tomb, Joni tries on a ring...which abruptly sticks to her finger. As she awkwardly tries to get the professor's attention to help remove it, the professor freaks out and dashes after Owen, who is apparently trying to juggle some of the canopic jars. The already-embarrassed Joni shoves her hands into her pockets in a fit of nerves. Then we see Professor Botch bringing Owen back to the others; his face and body all spell out, "Aw, man!"
  • After Joni tries on an ancient Egyptian ring and goes home with it because it won't come off:
Santiago: Well, Joni, I guess this makes you an international jewel thief.
Joni: Could you at least pretend you're helping, Santiago? I can't get this thing off! It feels like it's holding onto my finger!
Owen: Maybe it likes you, Joni.
Leslie: It looks like some sorta ceremonial ring. You better let Professor Botch know you have it.
Joni: Okay, Leslie, I'll tell him tomorrow. But it's so embarrassing. I never should've touched this ring in the first place.
  • When the ring is later stolen, the kids have somewhat hilarious reactions to one of the thugs grabbing Joni's arm as they completely ignore said grabbing until she flatly asks for their help with Owen's only reaction prior being disgusted by the ring coming to life and skittering into a box when the thug speaks a spell that is half As Long as It Sounds Foreign gibberish and the other half "Come to Papa, Little Ring?" and after the thugs run off, Santiago asks "Wait a minute. Who were those guys?"
  • The villain, Alistair Loveless, needs a Ring of Power MacGuffin for his evil plans:
Loveless: Once I have the ring, I can proceed with... the ceremony!
Professor Botch: Oh, are you getting married? How lovely!
Loveless: I'm not getting married, you twit! I am an evil man, and I am up to no good!
  • Alistair Loveless' Evil Laugh is parodied by him coughing, followed by "I swallowed my mint".
  • The heroes encounter a tribe of talking mice who will give them gems for cheese.
  • The gods (Horus, Sobek, Isis and Bastet) can't fight off Set...because of a height limit that includes a sign that says "You must be below this height to fight the forces of chaos."
  • Just about every wisecrack the Sphinx makes in the final act.
Owen: Oh, man! It's that freaky dude with the head of a lion!
Sphinx: And the heart of a field mouse! Ironic, isn't it?
