• Joe and Roger limping into the lecture hall, clearly feeling the effects from their first day of Training from Hell that comprises the team tryouts.
  • Joyce smacking Joe upside his head to wake up him up after he nods off in the same class, again due to exhaustion.
• Bobby taunting the Syracuse team during the Poughkeepsie race once UW begins to catch up, telling the other team to "go to hell."
• Overlaps with Heartwarming, but the way Don freezes up in what can only be described as abject terror as his fellow teammates start pushing him towards the stage while he desperately resists by leaning back at a 45 degree angle and going limp.
• Joe and Joyce scrambling for a way to get him out of her dorm after she sneaks him in and the dorm mother demands for her to open the door. Joe ends up going out the window––luckily it appears Joyce's room is on the first floor.
  • On their way in, another girl tells Joyce she isn't supposed to have boys over; Joyce retorts that she saw the other girl smoking out of her window a few days ago, effectively telling her to stuff it.
• As part of their part time work that comes with being on the rowing team, the boys have to clean up various buildings on campus. As they're cleaning up the music hall after a concert, Roger starts complaining about how messy girls are in the cafeteria and saying he'd rather clean under a dozen boys' tables than another girls' table.
