- Most of the scenes involving Lucretia:
- In chapter 3, she discusses about Orion and Walburga's...bedroom exploits...during their first years of marriage in the company of other party guests, to Sirius's horror and embarrassment.
- In chapter 16, she invites herself into Sirius's flat and wastes no time making a pass at Remus.
- Chapter 29 has plenty.
- James tells all of the other party guests about the embarrassing incident that causes Sirius to dislike flying on a broomstick for life, and Sirius swearing revenge on James's "sources" (Regulus) for blabbing about that story.
- Then the Prewett twins reveal that they were the ones who snitched to Lucretia about Sirius's address, which made her visit in Chapter 16 possible. This is followed up by the group gushing about his parents' attractiveness, which only annoys him even further.
- Despite being a Tear Jerker overall, Sirius and Orion's conversation in chapter 31 is not without some hilarious gems. Highlights include Sirius's reaction to being told what his mother said to Orion when he first asked her to marry him, and the colourful turn of phrase he then uses to dispel his father's belief that Walburga would rather marry a different man.Sirius: No one with half a brain who'd been kicked in the head by a hippogriff could prefer him to you. You haven't actually been thinking all these years that she's been holding a torch for that puffed-up, preening sod, have you?
