Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rescue Palooza has an Excuse Plot, but that doesn't mean the game doesn't have any funny moments.

  • The game's opening cutscene after the tutorial. The turtles are watching TV, only for Shredder to hijack their TV and let out an Evil Laugh.
    Turtles: Aaaww, not this again!
Shredder: YES! This again! Only this time, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of our rivalry... I've kidnapped EVERYONE!
Donatello: Everyone? As in everyone in the city? That's a little vague.
Shredder: Don't you see all the people behind me? I've captured all your friends! Just assume it's anyone you care about!
Leonardo: Looks like it's time for action! Master Splinter, will you join-
Shredder: You think I didn't grab him too? Second on the list, after Ms. O'Neil. It's a long list! He was flattered. Now why don't the four of you join me for some soup? Sayonara, genetic accidents! HAHAHAHA!
Michelangelo: Oh man! This is gonna take forever! But... we are out of pizza.
Donatello: And it sounds like a good reason to try out my new Cloneulator. It'll make robot doubles of anyone we come across, using a complex series of ---
Raphael: Yeah yeah, delivering beatings is enough for me. Wait, I meant wisecracks! Delivering wisecracks! I got my continuities mixed up for a sec.
  • After the boss fight with Bebop and Rocksteady, April is rescued, and Shredder makes his entrance. April hits him with a microphone attached to a cord and he jumps out the window. Even funnier if you remember that this exact scene happened in The Arcade Game, and in there, Shredder just kidapped her again.
  • Once the player has completed every level on the map, they get see April on the news saying the turtles have saved the city. The turtles celebrate their victory, and a screen that says "THANK YOU FOR PLAY! THE END" appears, though the "THE END" gets a question mark added quickly. Since the player hasn't had a level in the Technodrome or fought Shredder and Krang they would likely know this isn't the end. Sure enough, the ending theme is interrupted by a Record Scratch as Krang pushes the ending screen out of the way while his boss theme from the arcade game plays in the background, and he promptly shows up piloting his robot body on the map.
  • Shredder's transformation into Super Shredder. He stands under the Flushomatic he tries to use to pour Hollywood Acid on Michelangelo and kill him in the episode "Michelangelo's Birthday", with an audible flushing sound as the mutagen is poured on him and he turns into Super Shredder.
    • After Super Shredder is defeated, he reverts back to normal Shredder and complains that this is getting monotonous before walking off-screen. A sentiment the audience is likely to share, having gone through three levels in the Technodrome, multiple boss fights, and just fighting Shredder and Krang before fighting Super Shedder.
    • The boss fights aren't done after Shredder walks away as some very audible thuds signal Krang showing up with a massive Chicken Walker, that can be beaten easily by standing behind it since he only aims its guns in one place.
    • The Final Boss of the game? Shredder teleports in, at the controls of a robot that looks like a giant version of him. This turns out to be Cyber Shredder. Yes, the final fight of the game is Shredder piloting a giant robot version of himself.
