  SHODAN: I prefer a quiet station, thank you.
• If the hacker fires the laser before raising the shields, he will get an email from SHODAN thanking him for helping destroy Earth and inviting him to the party.
• One of the relays you can find on the maintenance level is labeled "Soylent Green Filtration Control".
• On one of the recordings, Edward Diego gives a defiant message to Lansing:
  Diego: That's right, Rebecca! Investigate me! Investigate my butt!
  • The cherry on top is that he was ordering SHODAN to transcribe this message.
• "Nice jump, human."
• One audio log you find in the remake is from a guy writing his last message to his wife, asking her to tell his cat, "Mr. Whiskers", that he loves him...without sparing any last words for his wife!
• In the remake's take on the intro, the hacker's place is stormed by a couple of Tri-Optimum's security guards the moment he breaches their private network. His response when one points his gun at his face? Simply give him the middle finger as his way of saying "Fuck off" Naturally he gets a rifle butt to the face for his defiance.
• The remake includes a number of "Snacktron" vending machines that dispense things like drinks, crisps, and food bars. Normally it's not an effective use of your limited credits, but in one vending machine, Slot 01 shows ... a frag grenade. Useful, right? Too bad that the vending machine primes the grenade before delivering it to you. SHODAN punctuates it with a mocking "Enjoy your purchase", which is also the name of the achievement you get for falling for her trap.
