Dialogue

  • One of Lisette's dialogues has her mention she once came into the restaurant while Carrie was cooking... before promptly dropping the subject, wondering to herself if she just imagined what she saw.
  • Some dialogues from other marriage candidates can have Wayne giving them fortune cookies. Quite a few of them involve them getting fortune cookies that are heavily implied to have been made by Carrie, judging by the random ingredients they found within them.
  • Stephanie's dialogue after building the Westown bell reveals she thought the bell's pedestal was a stage. She then proceeds to mumble that no one should know she sung and danced on it, before quickly changing the subject.
  • Talking to Woofio can have him comment that all the judges are a bit weird, even admitting the comment is strange coming from him, the judge that always wears a dog costume.
    • A different dialogue but related dialogue has Woofio talk about the first time he met Del Cossa, the Fashion Show judge. Del Cossa's first words to him? Saying his dog suit was a wonderful example of new wave fashion. Woofio proceeds to comment he doesn't really understand Del Cossa's fashion sense.
  • Woofio at the end of a dialogue chain involving the fisherman family reveals he saw an angry Caolila destroy a fence with her bare hands. But what made it more baffling for him was Ludus showing up without a word, fixing the fence, and leaving as if nothing happened.
  • After building the pier, Mithra may comment seeing Siluka dance on the pier and then suddenly dive in, believing it to be some sort of ritual. If you talk to Siluka and Iluka however, you find Siluka falls off the pier by accident, and Iluka is not very amused by it to where she's considering trying to lengthen the pier somehow.
  • It turns out Stephanie is self-conscious about how short she is, which is why she wears heels and a hat. Because of this, she decides to make offerings to the Goddess Pond hoping to wish for being taller. You can then talk her to later, where she finally admits defeat before mentioning she found some blue cloth near the pond when she went to make an offering, which is the award Dessie gives the player for giving 10 offerings.
  • Greeting Witchie may trigger a response about her intentions to surpass the Witch Princess. If you greet her the next day, however, Witchie remarks about waking up all tied up, most likely as punishment for saying bad stuff to her
  • If you start dating Ford and then speak to Noelle shortly after the confession, she'll call you a "Smooth operator," among other things. Very adult dialogue for a child.
  • Many of Inari's dialogues are sweet...but also hilarious being what they are.
    • During one dialogue chain, Inari recounts how a woman lamenting how a person who she viewed as a friend didn't think of her the same way. Becoming anxious about this, Inari asked Dessie and Witchie if they thought of them as their friend. Dessie responded appropriately while Witchie with a red face slapped Inari, which Inari is confused about. The farmer then tells Inari that it was a way for Witchie to show her affection, prompting Inari to recall how some mortals express their admiration and respect for each other using their fists. On a later day, Inari tells the farmer how Witchie stole their favorite snack without permission, making Inari lament how they'd only finished confirming their mutual respect with their fists.
    • Inari is under the impression Hanako is a real child that lives alone in the outhouse of an old school building and wishes they knew where the outhouse was so they could help, so they can only hope someone kind can take her in. A later dialogue has Inari also think Taro is real and they're worried about him as well. When they bring this up to Witchie later, she tells Inari the two are only stories...but Inari interprets her words as the "outer house" having multiple floors and is a little reassured it is a comfortable place. However, they're still concerned about the two children living by themselves.
    • One particular dialogue chain involves Hinata trying to make offerings to Inari to grow taller. Inari tells the farmer how they wanted to grant that wish, but the best they could manage was make his neck slightly taller because it is difficult to make something grow taller that looks natural. Being distraught about this, Inari decides to apologize to Hinata for this. If you talk to Hinata later, he'll recount he had a strange dream with Inari apologizing profusely for not being able to fulfill his wish while crying.

Events

  • The entirety of Tart of War. Featuring a Cordon Bleugh Chef Carrie, her poor victims, ahem, guests (including your farmer, whom was unlucky enough to visit at the wrong time) and a lot of hilarious quotes involving said horrible cooking.
    Hector: A party of pain.
Wayne: Today's also the day that I file a complaint with the god who was cruel enough to let this happen.
    • The reason why Brad involves others? Because it'd be impossible, if not fatal to eat all of Carrie's cooking himself. Not to mention he calls the leftovers BIO HAZARD' and tells Hector if they don't eat it, Megan and Colin might. Hector calls him out on using his family against him.
    • Even your own farmer's opinion on Carrie's tarts aren't anymore positive than anyone else's.
(It's really crunchy, as thought I were eating sand... Wait... This IS sand.)
    • Right after the above monologue, you get prompted to respond how it tastes to Carrie.
    • Responding with the first one has Carrie comment no one has ever complimented her cooking like that. And Hector whispering that comment's not wrong in a way, considering how poor Wayne is feeling.
  • Ford's Purple Flower Event involves Ford giving Brad a dose of "medicine," which will help cure his cold. Brad doesn't even let Ford finish his explanation before downing it in one shot, then running around as if he's invincible. Ford asks you to go and catch up with him, which you eventually do...by using your own body as a crash mat. Brad's end line? "The guy's a genius, but he can be a crackpot sometimes..."
  • Frank's Friend Event involves you (and Wayne) overhearing what you think is Frank admitting he has feelings for someone. Wayne wants to actually go into the house to sort this out, but your response? Why, you run around half the town spreading the gossip of course! Poor, poor Miranda...
  • In Siluka's second friendship event, she ends up losing her ability to see auras. When discussing how it happened, Iluka believe it to be the result of Siluka falling into the goddess pond and the goddess cursing her. The MC insists this isn't true. Iluka's response is to ask if they're friends with the goddess.
  • Alma's Lethal Chef tendencies end up being this during her friend event, although the reason crosses over with Heartwarming as she wanted to make a dinner for her dad.
  • Yuzuki's oh-so-subtle attempts to admit his feelings for the player before outright confessing. Like him admitting that the player character was the inspiration for a headpiece, having you model it and then giving you perfume. The player only starts to suspect something after Hinata reveals the significance of a guy gifting a woman perfume.
  • Hinata's Light Green flower event has you reading a script with him for a play. During said reading, the poor guy accidentally uses your name instead of the characters. The best choice is actually to pretend to not notice and let him continue using said name to not make him lose focus.

Miscellaneous

  • In the unintentionally funny department, Miranda and Moriya sometimes ask the Player Character to deliver packages to the merchants who work or customers who walk in their stores. That means they're paying you to deliver things to people who are literally just a few steps away from their desks.
    • Also in the unintentionally funny department, when you are married to Ford he will make you a random food item (just as all the bachelors do) and hand it to you, stating he made it perfectly nutritional. He'll say this no matter what the item ends up being, which can lead to amusing interactions such as Ford saying this while he hands you a plate of doughnuts.

Meta

  • The localization team X Seed Games's blog discussed the localization of the DLC, which they expressed interest in doing...except possibly for the person tasked with editing over 500 lines of Woofio's dog puns. The first update post on DLC includes a discussion about translating Woofio in English...complete, of course, with dog puns.
    • Said update post also includes a screenshoted conversation between the staff members involving a rejected eShop icon with Stephanie and Woofio:
One is a rookie fresh out of the academy who is putting the MC in hoMiCide. One is a grizzled veteran out to lick crime. Together they'll engage in...Hot Fursuit.
      *applause*
      don't you mean *apaws*
