     Anime

Episode 1

  • While going around the castle looking for bed sheets, the Princess is wielding a pair of giant scissors as if she was the Scissorman.

Episode 2

  • During a meeting of the Demon King Castle Elders pertaining to a recently harvested sleeping potion, the Princess shows up unannounced and tries to steal the potion for herself.
  • The Princess finding a patch of giant poisonous mushrooms and proceeding to sleep on one of them as if it was a bed.
    • After the Demon King learns about this incident, the Demon Cleric then reveals that he has to revive her at least once a week and then tells him about the incident where Princess attempted to use a Thunder Dragon to heal her stiff shoulders.

Episode 3

  • The Princess wants someone to touch the pressure points in her back so she can get some sleep. However, she's concerned that providing too much information would lead to another room inspection from the Great Red Syberian. Thus, she presents in a way that it comes off as Innocent Innuendo to the Demon King, the Demon Cleric and the various guards (save for Frankenzombie, who is completely clueless about how the Princess' request can come off as perverted and receives a Megaton Punch from the other guards just as he's about to volunteer).
    • The Guards' and the Cleric's judgemental expressions when they catch the Demon King in the Princess' jail cell.

Episode 4

  • The Princess accidentally using a Fountain of Youth item on herself and everyone doting over her because they've never had the opportunity to handle a human child that wasn't terrified of them before the incident.

Episode 5

  • Harpy desperate desire to make a human female friend, mixed with the Princess doing everything she can to ignore her. Including stuffing Teddy Demons between the bars to make a wall.
  • The Princess noticing Harpy's wings and asking if they can be removed. People watching this series know the Princess has no qualms amputating parts of demons for what she wants, suggesting she is about to cut them off. Luckily she just has Harpy share the bed with her and use her wings, still attached, as a comforter.
  • Harpy's quads are dying!
  • The Elders are discussing the boss order as any bad guys should, in a dark room with sinister music that has drums, strings and a deep horn. Said horn is actually a vuvuzela played by the Princess while laying down in their meeting room.

Episode 7

  • As Twilight and the Ten Elders video call Hades demanding he return the Princess, the Princess is busy ripping apart Hades' robe to make into a pillow without him even noticing, with the Elders eventually cheering her on.

Episode 8

  • The Princess crashing a meeting between the Ten Elders for the sole purpose of telling them about a nightmare in hope that doing so will allow her to fall back asleep.
    • From her story Cleric is able to figure out the Hero is the Princess's irresponsible fiance. He then tells Poisonous Flame Dragon he hopes he slaughters him.
  • The Princess is writting a letter to her mother stating she has been injured in such a way she doesn't believe she will live much longer. Said injury being a tooth ache.
    • For some reason the Princess is completely against anyone seeing inside her mouth. At the end it is revealed to the audience this is due to being ashamed her tongue is smaller than average. The Anime even notes how trivial her issue is.
  • Poisonous Flame Dragon is defeated due to the fact the Princess screwed with his items... except for most of them it wasn't directly her fault but the other Elders forgetting or screwing up. Nevertheless, they nerviously put all the blame on the Princess then have to physically restrain Dragon from harming her.

Episode 9

  • Everyone is trying to make the Princess act more like a hostage but each attempt fails horribly.
    • First they try ignoring her which fails when the Princess causes her eyes to tear up by yawning and everyone freaks out and thinks they made her cry.
    • Then they try making her work which fails because the Princess refuses to sleep until the work is finished. On top of this, the "work" they have her do is homework as if she were an elementary school student. She wonders just how old they think she is.
    • The third and final attempt they basically show how regular hostages act and she finally seems to get it only for the Elders to change their minds when she unintentionally makes them feel guilty. She then only acts like a regular hostage when it's convenient to get what she wants by making them feel guilty to keep whatever she took.

Episode 10

  • How does the Demon King finally stop the Princess from escaping the human world for a shopping trip? By luring her into a trap cage containing a futon. None of the demons expect it to work. Even Twilight himself is shocked when the Princess walks into it.
  • The Demon King, the Demon Cleric, and Great Red Siberian decide to go with the Princess in the human world. They attempt to disguise themselves, keyword being attempt as their disguises are do nothing to conceal features that make them stand out as demons. note  The Princess of all people is shocked with how bad their disguises are and slaps signs on them saying they are practicing for Halloween, which naturally does work. Even Poseidon notes that, while he can't go because of his blue skin, Great Red Siberian is less human-like than he is.
  • Leonard and Twilight try some of the sweets, which they initially like until they realize it's theme around killing demons. Ironically when the sweets are brought back to the castle, Poseidon actually likes them.

Episode 11

  • Twilight needs a shovel with how much he digs himself into a bad misunderstanding when the Cleric catches him and the Princess in bed together.
  • Everyone freaking out when they realize why the Princess is terrified of the Hero.

Episode 12

  • The head guard of Goodreste's reminiscing about the Princess's childhood sends her up the wall... and the rest of the hallway.
    • Demon King and Cleric enjoying every second of hearing her embarrassing childhood.
  • It's revealed she got her small tongue complex because the Hero would make fun of it.
  • Red Dog acting like a dog after his master left when Demon King take the Princess away.
  • The Head Guard's weakness, where he completely falls asleep the minute the sun comes up.

     Manga
  • A Ribbon is snuck onto Syalis to prevent her from getting poisoned on the poison mushroom, but also prevents her from sleeping. She manages to break it just by trying to sleep on the poison mushroom.
  • For Halloween, all the monsters dress up as humans, meaning they wear business suits and sunglasses. However, the princess is unable to tell most of them apart except for Spine and a few monsters (who aren't wearing suits) and Leonard and Twilight (though she has to separate the two by asking which one has a hip problem).
  • A bounty hunter ends up captured and placed in the cell next to the Princess. She gets traumatized as the Princess shoves all her pillows into her cell.
    • Princess keeps getting summoned by the Teddy Devils simply because her pajamas look like them. As she tries to calm herself with tea, she is summoned again with the same bounty hunter breaking the pitcher. Syalis reacts by stabbing her in the eyes with the handle.
  • Just the reveal that the Princess has been 'held hostage' for at least FOUR YEARS!
  • The fact that the in-manga anime of the Sleepy Princess happens because the Princess is the only one acting normal.
  • What happens if you put Doraemon's pocket in a demon king's castle? Sya can't find a single item from the literal mountain of stuff she pulls out to help her sleep. Also, the Elders stumble upon said mountain of stuff and play with the iconic Take-copter like a toy (that they don't wear).
    • On a side note, Doraemon does have a few sleep-related items including a pillow that forces a person to sleep.
  • Crossover chapters can be summed as "Sya sleeps in someone else's bedroom".
    • Most notably, she once tried to escape... and somehow ended up in Komi Shouko's drawer.
  • In chapter 290, the Princess dies (again), but this time she can't be revived, and her soul proceeds to the underworld. The demons enter the afterlife, fearing that the souls of previous demons might devour her soul... nope. Turns out the Princess took over the afterlife. Death is often referred to as "eternal slumber", after all.
  • In chapter 320, the Princess drinks a potion that temporarily turns her into a Teddy Demon and tries to find someone to help her return back to normal. As she approaches Leonard and Silmoth, they both recognize that the Teddy Demon is the princess through the crown it's wearing and the star in its eyes. However, they also have a bad feeling about the situation and flee from it.
  • During the "yokai troupe" arc, the yokai assume that the Princess is actually Succyun (and vice versa) due to Succyun looking more pure than the Princess. As Twilight and Leonard come to their rescue, they discover that the Princess has taken advantage of this to threaten the yokai.
    Princess Sya: I'm... SOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLUTTY!
