Funny / Silo

• While Juliette's flashback scenes are mostly serious, they do have a couple of funny moments.
  • Her brother Jacob (who the audience knows will eventually die from respiratory failure) survives an earlier brush with death and, when his parents are asking him questions to make sure he has no brain damage, he says that his sister is named "jerk-face."
  • A note she forged from her father to get permission to work in Mechanical gets spotted as a fake because she spelled mechanical, "mecanical."
• After becoming acting mayor, Bernard announces that he hates the job but will enjoy getting through as much of his predecessor's liquor cabinet as possible for the rest of his term.
• There is something darkly funny about how an attempt to frame the Fall Guy fails because of poor record keeping, keeping both the killer and investigators from learning that one suspect changed apartments months ago.
• Sandy, Holston's secretary, agrees to support Juliette if she solves the murders but vows to make her miserable if she fails. Once Juliette does close the case, Sandy cheekily admits that she was always going to transfer to a different office no matter how the case turned out, and just wanted to give Juliette some extra motivation.
