  • Episode 1, when Zeha first meets Haru. Zeha's expression and "woah" completely clashes with Haru's (very) dramatic appearance. Zeha declares he must be dreaming, while Haru cheerfully and rather embarrasingly asks about Zeha's injury and how much he's grown.
Zeha: I just had to dream something so stupid...
  • After Dogeon saves Zeha and company from the Tiger Butterfly, he turns around fully intending to leave when Zeha passes out. Since Dogeon doesn't react at all, Haru, who now has to deal with Hwan and Zeha (who are both unconscious), proceeds to very unsubtly lament how full his hands are and how nice it would be for someone to help him. This goes on for three panels before Dogeon's conscience (and patience) finally breaks.
  • Haru has adapted very quickly to staying with Zeha:
Dogeon: Isn't this place a bit too small for four people?
Haru: Do not speak ill of my home. Despite its small size, it lacks nothing.
Zeha: Hey, this is my place...
    • Minutes later, when Hwan wakes up...
Haru: You are in my place. Worry not, for it is safe here.
Zeha: Like I said, this is my place, not yours.
  • Episode 11, where Dogeon talks with his mouth full.
Dogeon: Yuor prity dun-to-earth en colhearded fo sohmwon wid suh kin apphearance.note
  • Zeha first meets Jooan right after the latter's Curbstomp Battle against a bunch of Beom. Zeha finds him standing among the dead Beom's bodies. He asks Jooan who he is... And Jooan's spear anticlimatically snaps. Cut to a wide shot of him, Zeha and the girl standing in place, the broken spear on the floor, as Jooan simply says "oh no".
  • Dogeon's (semi-justified) paranoia makes him immediately draw a gun to someone that smells like Beom – including Zeha (who's half-Beom) in their first meeting. When they meet the similarly aromatic Jooan, Haru deals with Dogeon simply by picking him up from his sides, feet dangling like a rowdy puppy, despite their size difference note . After Zeha diffuses the situation, he starts to talk with Jooan, who mentions he's looking for Bulti. Dogeon immediately interrupts by shooting at the ground near them and menacingly questioning Jooan about his knowledge of Bulti... And the next panel reveals Haru is still holding him up.
  • The rest of the group actively acknowledging Dogeon's Tsundere personality.
  • The entire reason Cein joins. He's very much not a combatant, and only intends to watch the group from afar. However, after he helps them deal with a vendor, when Zeha asks him if he's a hunter, Cein accidentally says yes. He's almost immediately forced to tag along all the way into the Beom's secret prison all because he just can't bring himself to correct them.
  • Dogeon looking at the gross meat clusters of the prison walls and saying:
Dogeon: These Beom have terrible tastes in home decor.
  • Once the intense discussion about Zeha and his responsibility for the Beom invasion gets resolved, there's a passing shot of Zeha comically crying streams of tears while Hosu just looks resigned.
    • While Cein later studies Hosu with the Beom's Brow, Zeha is sitting in the background with an utterly lost expression.
  • After the intense resolutions and revelations of Episode 24, Episode 25 begins with... Hwan of all people excitedly suggesting terrible team names to Dogeon - which apparently he has been doing for a while -, complete with cartoon sparkly eyes. Dogeon tells him to please not do that, clearly very exasperated.
    • One of the names suggested (this time by Cein) is "Hunter and Hunter". Since they're all Beom hunters! Which apparently other Beom hunter teams aren't...?
    • Zeha suggests "Tabae"... which Dogeon quickly shuts down, since it's just asking for Hupo to come get them.
  • Within the serious cyberpunk-esque setting, one of the last things you'd probably expect to see is a humanoid tree merchant who casually carries weapons in a cartoonishly gigantic backpack, let alone one who Dogeon of all people knew of from his criminal past. Let alone one that was apparently known by everyone in the crime world.
  • This exchange:
Jooan: Wouldn't you feel cooler if you just took off that coat off?
Dogeon: No can do. This was a gift my friends bought me with their very first paycheck. This coat is me. The moment I remove it, I'll die.
Jooan: You seemed very much alive when you were taking a shower.
  • Heoseo's introduction to Jooan and Dogeon. He quickly establishes himself as dangerous and as strong as Bulti (or possibly stronger) when, while holding a civilian through the neck, he effortlessly blocks Dogeon's shots with his arm, which makes Jooan and Dogeon understandably unsettled. He releases the civilian and ominously tells them to leave and turn away as if nothing had happened... And then he strikes a pose and winks. There are sparkles.
Heoseo: ... For you can never overcome Heoseo, the embodiment of affliction.
    Hara: (sigh)
    • Dogeon and Jooan's reaction as shown in the following chapter is to just stand there bewildered and go "What... is he saying?"
  • Heoseo's method of relaying strategies to Hara is a bit unorthodox. Meaning he tells her "I will take care of that one. You take the other." and leaves her to realize which one's which after he's already attacking Jooan.
  • The sinister, murderous, constantly-covered-in-bloodstains Jigwi has a to-do list. Helpfully titled "Jiwgwi's to-do list", with drawings of stars and crude doodles of Bulti and Maro. It lists "Beat the beom leader", "Give food to my younger siblings in district 14. Say hi to maro and bulti.", and "Give food to my younger siblings in district 15".
  • Ogyeop's number is saved in Heoseo's phone under the name of "Chihuahua".
  • A discussion among the Chakho about whether they should be prepared for Beom who are not murderous (with Hosu in particular being very hostile to the possibility) results in a very tense silence. Which Haru interrupts, because it's time for a new episode of his favorite drama. Bonus points for him non-chalantly telling Hosu to move out the way, because he's blocking the screen.
    • When said drama is interrupted by SMPTE color bars (because of an incoming breaking news broadcast), Haru reacts with "What sort of national flag is that?"
