  • Tabitha's... smile.
  • When you first check Scarlet Manor's disgusting toilet, it is full of cockroaches that scatter away when you lift the seat. If you have the 'Talk to Animals' trait, you can hear one of them screaming "Scram, fellas! The jig is up!"
    • Honestly, a lot of the Talk With Animals moments, just from sheer bizzareness. Frou-Frou somehow knows French. Gretchen talks like a Southern Belle. Racoons talk like mobsters. Alpacas are devout Catholics. The town dogs have extremely strong political opinions. Best of all, all of this is presumably canon to every other playthrough too.
  • When you first meet Stella, she'll show you a video of an unexplained cryptid, listing a number of theories regarding what it could be. Several traits will unceremoniously tell you that its obviously a mountain lion.
    • Stella's Arbitrary Skepticism leads to two great laughs. Firstly, despite beliving in everything supernatural under the sun, she refuses to believe Duke's claim to have seen mountain lions. On the inverse, if you ask her why she doesn't do aliens on her show, she mentions that she doesn't see what they have to do with anything. Everyone knows aliens exist.
  • Certain special trait choices can lead you to humorous results. Having Hot, for example, will make characters flustered to be around you, while having Mystic will make everyone treat you like a complete weirdo,
  • At the start of the game, you can eat a really nice biscuit. If you have the Mystical trait, though, you can learn that this isn't just a really nice biscuit, but divine goodness incarnate on earth in the form of a biscuit. This is never brought up again.
  • Every time you use Talk to Animals, the characters' reactions around you vary from annoyance, to eventually believing you. Having a seemingly one-sided conversation with the mayor has everyone in the room confoundedly bewildered.
  • Try telling Stella you died on night 1. She'll happily laugh at your joke...before abruptly realising that the supernatural is real and you could be an actual ghost, and frantically tries to clarify the situation.
  • Staying at Stella's at the end of episode 1 can lead to one of these the morning after. When Tabitha visits to take you home, you have the option to saunter out half-dressed and tease Tabby for being "just jealous of [your] game".
  • Teasing Tabby about getting a joint if you have Street Smart - even Sybil joins in if you continue in the store.
  • After several episodes of buildup, the reveal that the town pariah Pastor Daniel's dark secret is that he can also talk to animals is this if you have the same trait.
  • If you have the 'Talk to Animals' trait and visit Pastor Daniel, you may find out that his alpacas are Catholic. Somehow.
  • Sometimes the achievements' whimsical names are a source of dark humor. Seeing "Cousin Bonding Time" pop up in your screen corner just as Tabitha burns the still-alive, mangled body that used to be Reese is going to crack you up if it doesn't disturb you (or perhaps even if it does).
  • If you have the Mystic trait, then when the miners go on strike on day four, you can tell her that "this is just a symptom, but the rot has set in. The town is doomed." Tabitha's response?
Oh come on! Nobody talks like that! Even Sybil doesn't talk like that!
  • During Sybil's tea-reading, she informs you that someone you trust is planning to betray you. You can present your suspicions to her regarding various characters. If you can speak to animals, then one of the options is Dusty, the opossum who lives in your drawer. In which case, you go on a tearful rant about how heartbroken you'd be if Dustin betrayed you, forcing Sybil to drop her wise lady demeanor and confusedly reassure you that, no, a random possum isn't going to stab you in the back. You even get an achievement for it, called "Friendship Ended With Dresser Rat".
  • At the end of day four, wherever you are, Wayne will show up. This is normally a very creepy scene, showing how he's easily able to find you wherever you go. But, if you're at Stella's house he shows up at her front door. One of the options you then have is to tell him you're not in and shut the door in his face. It even works, with him giving one piece of advice through the door and leaving.
