  • When Falco is warned not to touch a metal object sticking out the ground, he does so anyway... and it's just a metal plate. As he's walking away... BAM! the very trap he had been warned about gets him in the leg. Due to the timing, this is funny... at first.
  • When another merc says that Riddick "could be anywhere", the camera pans up to Riddick sunbathing on top of the ship. He isn't even trying to be stealthy - lounging on top of it, eating peanuts, throwing the shells off the side.
  • When Vargas says, "One night; three dead..."
    Luna: Two dead; one missing.
    Vargas: Exactly. Three dead.
  • At one point Dias tries to shoot Riddick's dog and fails miserably. The mercs from the two groups doesn't let him live it down.
(Dias takes the shot and misses causing "dingo-dongo" to flee)
    Santana: Nice work, Dias. Encouraging.
Dias: Had something in my eye.
    Santana: It's called a scope.
    • Then on the next day the second group of bounty hunter tries to help Santana's group and spots Riddick's dog again:
Boss Merc: Is it the same dingo-dongo from last night?
Dias: Nah, I'm pretty sure I killed that one.
(everyone looks at him knowing he's full of shit)
Dias: (awkwardly) Could be the same one.
  • Riddick offers his canine companion a packet of vile-looking pre-processed food-goop (marked as "crab enchilada hash") to eat (after rejecting it himself), and the dog responds by urinating on it. And then he buries it. You can practically hear what Riddick's thinking: "That bad, huh?"
  • Every single time Santana tries to start a fight with Dahl, she makes him bleed with almost no effort. By the time she foils his attempt to rape her, he is almost impossible to take seriously anymore. That last fight went so badly for him that Johns thought Riddick had got back into the compound and murdered someone in an incredibly messy fashion.
  • This exchange:
Santana: So, do you think sometime during the last few hours he got this off my neck without me noticing, did whatever he did, put the fucking key back on my fucking neck without me fucking noticing? Is that what you're saying? Where did you get that theory from? A unicorn's ass?
Moss: There's a reason he is who he is.
    • The mental image of Riddick as an actual Zulu warlock, casting a spell to steal the key from around Santana's neck makes the line even funnier.
  • During his parlay with the merc leaders, Riddick once again asks about the status of his bounty. Being told that the reward is doubled if he's brought in dead is the one moment in the entire film where he seems genuinely taken aback.
    Riddick: That's new.
