"I never mentioned prunes in any of my stories. What are these people trying to pull?"
  • Basically, the whole plot of The Murderer. Replace "wrist radio" with "Smartphone", and the story could very well be set in modern times, with more than a few people sharing the opinion of the titular murderer.
  • In The Ray Bradbury Theater adaptation of "The Long Rain", the hero treks across miles of jungle in the pouring rain to reach the sun dome, and is ecstatic to finally arrive.
