  • After defeating Mel, he helps the Player clear the path to Thundercap Mt. that one of the Shadows is guarding - by hitting the Grunt with his Miltank. He then threatens the Grunt not to hold him up too long, or he'll be late for his deep-tissue massage, and the Grunt complains about how that's something you're meant to say BEFORE you hit someone.
  • When the Player is trapped inside Cube Space along with Marlon, they meet Aros, who devises an escape plan to free them both using their Cube V3s. Marlon then asks if the plan will really work, and Aros cheerfully replies that while there IS a chance they may be disintergrated into data, their chance of survival should still outweigh certain death.
  • Right after the battle against Primal Groudon, Marlon advises that the Player shouldn't follow them, for the sake of Zeph's peace of mind, back to the Shadow's Base. The next objective in your journey shows exactly what the Player thinks of that:
Marlon: Look, I'm grateful for your help. Truly, I am. However, this next task... is something I need to handle alone. Right now, I need to secure Zeph's aid in finding the Light of Ruin's new base. If you followed me to our base in Frozen Heights, Zeph would never agree to help. So please, PLAYER, for both our sakes - stay away from our base.
Mission Objective Updated: A Hero's Journey
Return to the Shadows' Base in Frozen Heights and find Zeph!
  • At Magnolia Café, the Player can learns about Penny's...unusual taste in the type of Dragon-related media she prefers.
You inspect the cover of the video's box... That...is NOT a comfortable thing to do to a Goomy.
  • The passengers on-board the S.S. Marine include some...oddballs.
    • One passenger outside in the halls is a Youngster, screaming to be let off due to their phobia of ships.
    • One of the Trainers that can be battled is definitely not a Ditto who escaped from the Science Society.
    • A Rich Boy attempts to rob the Player, even though he should already be wealthy enough. His only excuse is that having more money never hurts.
    • A female Expert can waste a Player's time by talking extensively about their hemorrhoids. It's just funny due to the sheer unnecessary detail, including an insistence on showing photographs of them, which we thankfully don't see, but they Player does, and it makes them ill.
    • The Shellder Guy (another time-waster) has No Sense of Personal Space, and will go straight for the Player's legs. For all his troubles, his face gets stamped on by the Player - and it should be noted that due to their home being in a snowy town, their boots have spikes at the bottom.
  • Throughout the game, the Player can find Galavan in the Pokémon Centers, with something irreverent to say about the local Gym Leader. Unless you're talking about the Dehara City Gym Leader...
Galavan: Now, ol' Galavan - that guy's clearly the best Gym Leader, no doubt... Why? 'Cos he's handsome, and strong, and he's a genius at machines! What? ...c'mon, can't a guy have favourites or somethin'? Ha ha ha!
  • A Mission at the Game Corner is given by a Gambler, who apparently took to the lifestyle because earning money via a real job was too much effort for him.
