• A PC in a newly added house to the west of Cherrygrove City has an e-mail with a picture of a dabbing pig.
  "This Pokémon isn't in the Pokédex. Perhaps this is the rarest Pokémon of all?"
• Inside the Pewter Museum is a Pikachu holding a berry, and you can choose to steal it from the Pokémon. This is when some players would feel bad about their actions, but it's dampened by the Pikachu making the memetic Surprised Pikachu Face.◊
• A couple of moments with Elite Four Honeybun:
  • He uses a Heracross nicknamed "Heracross?"
  • His last Pokémon is a Snorlax nicknamed "Daddy." Whenever he uses Lovely Kiss with it, he says "Kiss the Daddy."
• Champion Shockslayer uses a shiny Skarmory nicknamed "Toplettuce" as his strongest Pokémon.
• If you rematch Burglar Frank in the Goldenrod Underground after beating him once, he'll use a level 100 Caterpie.
• You can mess with the programmer's game program in Celadon City by adding text that flows outside the text box.
• Chuck uses a Shuckle nicknamed Chuckle.
• If you choose Smeargle as your starter, it'll be holding mail reading "But why would you do this?"
