  Butch: (after Cassidy misnames him for the second time in the episode) That does it; I'm changing my name.

Legend of Thunder

• Marina's insistence on dancing during battle, which embarrasses Jimmy to no end.
• Vincent also embarrasses Jimmy during a phone call when he accuses him of hitting on Marina.
  Vincent: I know you like her. Come on, admit it! You're crushin' big time!
  Jimmy: WHAT?! THAT IS SO UNTRUE! I'm gonna hang up now.
  Vincent: Wait a minute!
• Marina squeeing over Eugene's cape, which he tells her no one is permitted to touch.
• Attila and Hun are mainly portrayed dead-seriously, but the former less so than the latter due to his hamminess and quips. The part where Vincent threatens him over Marina's Poke-Gear after she got captured along with Raikou gets special mention:
  Vincent: Hey, bruiser-dude! You touch one hair on her haid, and I'll stomp you like a Caterpie, you—
  Attila: SHUT YOUR MOUTH, SISSY-BOY!

Showdown at the Oak Corral

• At one point, the Magikarp salesman, yes the same one that conned James on the St. Anne, knocks on the door and tries to sell a Magikarp to Tracey, promising that it will lay golden eggs. Tracey angrily refuses to buy the Magikarp, and tells him to shove it. Only when Oak appears does the salesman realize he knocked on THE WORST DOOR POSSIBLE: Professor Oak's Laboratory.
  • When the doorbell rings, Tracey thinks it's the salesman again, and prepares to give him a mouthful, only to realize it's Delia and Mr. Mime with cookies.
• Butch comparing himself to a Golem; Cassidy's annoyance about the topic sells it.
  Butch: I think I make a good Golem.
  Cassidy: And why is that?
  Butch: We're very similar. We're both strong, tough, fierce, powerful...
  • And after a time skip, he's still at it!
  Butch: We're both great fighters, we're both fearless, we're both...
  Cassidy: Alright, enough already! I get your point.
• Their blast off brings the gag to an end.
  Cassidy: Butch! What happened to tough, and strong, and powerful; not to mention fierce, and being a great fighter?!
  Butch: Well, at least I'm a great flyer!

Namba: I'm afraid I have reached an impasse.

Cassidy: Congratulations, sir.

Namba: No! An impasse means I'm stuck!

This gem:

Butch: You'll find out as soon as you meet the boss: Dr. Namba.

Namba: My identity was supposed to stay secret!

Butch: (flinches with wide eyes and a Sweat Drop) Uh, uh, sorry sir!

Cassidy: (not breaking her posture) Me too, sir! It won't happen again!

Namba: Never mind that!

Butch and Cassidy try to get information from Professor Oak. When he refuses to cooperate, they decide to torture him by scratching a piece of glass with a nail.

A Date with Delcatty

• Casey's singing is so bad, Misty has to put an end to it.
• Misty's reaction to Georgio wanting to go on a date with her, while Togepi is happily unaffected.
• Georgio's Pelipper sends Butch and Cassidy crashing down with a few pecks to their gliders.
  Cassidy: What is that thing?!
  Butch: I don't know, but prepare for crash landing!
  (Their gliders collide, before they crash in a heap on the ground)
• Butch and Cassidy using the Wounded Gazelle Gambit for a hilariously brief time after getting sprayed by Pelipper's Water Gun.
  Georgio: Had enough?
  Casey: Yes or no?
  Cassidy: Okay, okay, we give up.
  Butch: Just let us catch our breath, will ya?
  (They immediately jump to their feet)
  Butch: Ha! Faked you out, losers!
• When Casey is introduced to Tracey in "A Date With Delcatty", she asks Misty if Tracey is her boyfriend, to which she angrily pushes her away, wondering why everyone jumps to that conclusion.

• Cassidy and Jessie wreck two treadmills when trying to outdo one another. With unnamed witnesses.
• Meowth: "Um, one problem: I can't swim". Cut to a completely annoyed James trudging through the water with a relaxed Meowth on his head.

Journey to the Starting Line

Putting the Air Back in Aerodactyl

• At his usual running gag, the second time in the episode, Butch shoves Oak and Crystal's screen sections aside at the middle, as if going for the audience. He even has tears in his eyes!
  Butch: IT'S BUUUUUTCH!!!

Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing

• This scene here:
  Cassidy: Now, are you two lovebirds going to behave, or is there gonna be trouble?
  Butch: Oh, they'll behave.
  Caserin: *uses Water Gun in Butch's face*
  Cassidy: (now angry) Alright, you brats, that does it! Sableye, Fury Attack, go!
  *Sableye goes in to attack, but stops at the ledge*
  Cassidy: What're you stopping for, can't you swim?! (falls over at Sableye's sheepish grin)
• When Butch and Cassidy are blasted off, Luverin's Sweet Kiss attack on Mightyena is still in effect.
  Cassidy: (despaired tone) Oh no, look at our Pokemon!
  (Mightyena and Sableye are snuggling together with heart eyes)
  Butch: Now's not the time to get all lovey-dovey, you two!

Those Darn Electabuzz

• When Casey changes to her cheerleading outfit, Corey, Don and Benny are completely speechless. The look on their faces really sells it.

The Search for the Legend

• A Freeze-Frame Bonus: If you watch closely, when Namba yells at Butch and Cassidy through the radio, the front of the radio resembles a face.
  • Butch even cautiously uses his foot to turn it off after he and Cassidy jump away in surprise.
• Butch: As much as we'd really love to have a little kid tagging along with us, we can't have a little kid tagging along with us.
• Their last blast off in Chronicles, where everyone has Ocular Gushers, except Cassidy and Tentacruel.
  Cassidy: Oh Butch, why do our plans always end like this?! It's so sad!
  Butch: We're never gonna amount to anything!
• Cassidy: Am I the only one who wishes we hadn't skipped breakfast?
