• At one point during the outbound trip, Ransom mentions that he thought that the spaceship would end up colder that it actually was. Weston retorts, "Forgot about the Sun, did you?" Ransom just sits in embarrassment.
• Ransom is exhausted, terrified, and a little crazy after running for his life for a day. While hiding at a riverbank, he sees a giant 7 foot tall amalgamation of seal, otter, and Slender Man emerge from the water. What is his first thought upon hearing the creature speak? "I should write a grammar!"
