Funny / Olive, the Other Reindeer

Go To

From the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama, there are some exchanges in this Christmas Special that'll make some who have seen it laugh.

  • This exchange during the Postman's song "Bah, Bug 'n' Hum".
Postman: What's one more pain in my posteriority?
    Olive: Posteriority?
Postman: (pulls up a picture of himself with the word "posteriority" pointing at his rear end)
  • Olive attempts to board the bus.
    Security Guard: Riding or chasing?
    Olive: (cheerfully) Riding!
  • The Postman tries to arrest Olive for mail fraud, and included among her supposed crimes is licking already-adhesive stamps.
  • During the first of several escapes from the Postman...
    Olive: Grab my tail!
    Martini: Quit waggin' it!
  • The bus driver Richard Stands mentioning that he used to think the Pledge of Allegiance was about him when he explains to Olive that she misheard Santa saying "All of the other reindeer".
    • Olive saying that she knows everything will turn out fine.
Richard: Yeah, like the time I lost control of the brakes and we were speeding down hill.
    Olive: What did you do?
Richard:...I don't remember. But I guess everything turned out all right.
Martini: Maybe we should have taken a train.
  • Olive receiving the "Deus ex Machina" package.
Postman: Don't tamper with the mail! It's a federal offense!
Olive: But it's addressed to me!
    Postman: Oh, okay then.
  • Fido watches Martini talk about Olive on the television. Martini claims that to his knowledge, Olive isn't housebroken. Fido isn't amused and insists that Olive is housebroken.
    • Also, this is among several other clips of Martini exaggerating how well he knows Olive, including claiming to have been her friend for many years despite actually only meeting her a few days prior at most.
  • "Don't you even care?" "Let me think — no"
  • Seeing Ultraman and Godzilla of ALL characters joining the uplifting Christmas song together is as hilarious as it is oddly sweet.
