The film:

• Ali Hakim describes how he got married to Gertie: her father was wielding a gun and Ali decided he liked being alive enough to marry her. After marrying her, he's not so sure being alive is worth it.
• Aunt Eller keeps the peace at the party by pointing a gun at the party-goers who started to make trouble.
• Curly's "trial". Exactly one person takes it seriously, and he's overruled by Aunt Eller.
