• Frankly a good deal of the movie seems to be based on the idea of "what funny injury can we inflict on Jim Carrey next?"
• One of the tenants complains to the doorman about the noise. Unfortunately, Popper is bribing the man to stay quiet.
  Tenant: I’m hearing shrieking wailing and other loud noises coming from that apartment. Either Mr. Popper’s making out with my mother or I’m losing my mind.
  Doorman: Sorry pal, as far as I’m concerned, Mr. Popper’s an ideal tenant.
