  • In Aile's story, an otherwise heartwarming moment between Giro and Aile in the beginning as the former tries to bring Aile out of her funk thinking about her dead mother is to mention rather cheekily that she's "not bad in a pinch" and that all their customers at Giro Express like her.
Aile: Not bad!? Giro! Is that supposed to be a compliment!?
  • The Guardian Initiation Test has several guffaw-worthy moments, fitting considering it's a major Breather Episode before what's to come.
    • The first one, Oeillet, can be found just by walking right into a building with no obstacles. She herself lampshades that she probably should have tried a little harder to hide and mentions you'll have to do more to get the others, offering a small bit of advice of how to crouch under tight spaces.
    • The second one, Carrelet, is located in the next building over and indeed, his room requires you to crouch to get through a narrow opening and reach him. The funny bit comes is that later in the game, a kid can be found in this room after completing a certain side-quest who lampshades how you need to crouch to get inside and that it's like the building designers screwed up somewhere.
    • If you approach Congre while Megamerged (likely because you were trying to destroy the security Mettaurs in the room), he flat-out teleports out before you can talk to him, requiring you to exit the building and come back inside to try again.
    • The final one, Thon, is found in another space that can only be entered by crawling. The problem is that Thon is the Top-Heavy Guy who couldn't have crawled into this space on his own and most likely had to teleport into this spot (just as he teleports out of it once found). He lampshades it if you talk to him on the Guardian Base when introducing himself properly and laughs when they say "Thon" is a fitting name for someone like him.
    • Once you make it to the end, Dorado presents you with the proof of your certification: a stuffed doll. Aile is more amused while Vent is incredulous, but Dorado asserts they better keep it safe or else they'll be in hot water with Prairie since it's one of her prized possessions.
  • Scombrésoce has some of the most noticeable dialogue differences between Vent and Aile. Towards Vent, he acts rather dismissive but does provide help and encouragement in his own way. Towards Aile, he instantly tries to flirt with her and continues to do so (or at least try) while providing encouragement and aid. Noticeably, his first attempt at flirting has him fumbling at trying to remember Aile's name and guesses it's Earl.
  • Cedre's first conversation with Aile has her stating that Aile's nothing compared to herself, but that she's cute enough to give Prairie a run for her money.
  • Many of the side-quests provide levity from the general seriousness of the main plot.
    • Truite asks you to deliver a letter to a girl in town (the one by the fountain named Melody) because he fell in Love at First Sight and he's trying to woo her. The hilarious part is that he's a hopeless romantic and each subsequent letter (which he insists Vent/Aile not read because they're too young and they might get ideas) only exasperates Melody. Even the quest names themselves get in on this where each subsequent letter has a more resigned title reflecting how Vent/Aile (and likely the player) feels about this trainwreck.
    • Congre asks you to fulfill a request he got to cut grass on top of a building because he chickened out at the height, but he realized that not doing it would reflect poorly on the Guardians' reputation with the citizenry.
    • An Aile-exclusive mission has her being requested to find a "Mushroom" a little girl lost in Area A-1. When you go to the area where a mushroom is, searching a bit more will allow you to find a small green bird that can also be picked up. It turns out "Mushroom" is the name of the bird the girl lost.
    • One NPC from the town, Raven, asks Vent/Aile to get a cold pearl so he could make an engagement ring. Said pearl melted right as he was proposing (by the way, she said yes).
  • The ZX Gigamix drama track, "Help Fleuve!"note  Fleuve is trying to spend time with his nephew, Sardine, but keeps getting called away by various Guardians who need his help, to his irritation. Seeing his fatigue, Rose approaches him and offers him a nutritional drink, which he accepts and consumes... as Rose tells him that he was supposed to dilute it first. Cue fainting.
