  • More Hilarious in Hindsight, but Stephen King in the trailers saying that he's gonna scare the hell out of us with this movie? Yeah, we were soooooo traumatized and frightened.
    • The sheer hubris of King claiming that after previous film adaptations of his work, he decided "if you want to do something right, you have to do it yourself". Given that at this point in time theatrical King film adaptations included The Shining (which King famously hatednote ), Cujo, The Dead Zone, Silver Bullet, and Carrie (1976) (which King later admitted was better than his novel), it means King is essentially saying he could do a better job than the likes of Stanley Kubrick, Brian De Palma and David Cronenberg. And THIS was the result.
"I just wanted someone to do Stephen King right."
    • Of course, at the time he was on so much cocaine he doesn't even remember making the movie at all, which is probably where a lot of that attitude came from.
  • "This machine just called me an asshole!"
    • Given how bad the movie was, it's hard to argue.
  • The soda machine shooting the coach repeatedly (The first shot resulting in a soda can to the crotch), even after it starts going for every other potential target.
  • "YOU CAN'T!!! WEEEE MAAAAADE YOUUUUUUUU!!!!! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?!?!"
  • "You sure make love like a hero." Wouldn't be funny except for the fact that there is NO setup for that line at all.
  • Every time the "Psycho" Strings play, they start up either too early or too late.
  • The sheer Irony that this, arguably one of Stephen King's worst products came out just less than two months before one of his most lauded novels.
  • Hearing the voice of Lisa Simpson saying things that Lisa never should.
"I'm caught in this goddamn seatbelt!"
"Forget this shit, you goddamn asshole!"
