Season One
Episode 1
- Cheng Xiaoshi laughing at the nickname Qiao Ling addresses Lu Guang as, which is "Guang-Guang". He jokes that she calls dogs "Wang-Wang", causing Qiao Ling to throw Cheng Xiaoshi's phone at his face.
- In the English dub, the teasing instead stems from Qiao Ling calling Lu Guang a "good boy".
- The first few things Cheng Xiaoshi does in Emma's body? Trying to feel up his chest, which Lu Guang promptly puts a stop to.
- As Emma's boss calls for her, Cheng Xiaoshi reacts nonchalantly, with Lu Guang chastising him to take this more seriously. Cheng Xiaoshi starts acting more ditzily and walking funny (including a comically bad attempt at a sultry pose like a faux Renaissance statue), asking Lu Guang if he was happier with this attitude.
- Emma's boss hitting on her and asking if she had a boyfriend. Cheng Xiaoshi is stunned as he quickly asks Lu Guang if he [as Emma] had a boyfriend. Lu Guang responds with an annoyed "no" and tells him to stay on task.
- Emma's boss attempting to kiss her, with a close up of his lips puckering up which is both disgusting and hilarious. Lu Guang (presumably knowing they're about to be interrupted by a phone call) tells Cheng Xiaoshi to suck it up and do it for the mission. Cheng Xiaoshi responds with a comical pucker of his own lips.
- Saved by Emma's mom calling, Cheng Xiaoshi thanks his "auntie" for saving him from that horrible situation. When Emma's mother asks if she had the wrong number, Cheng Xiaoshi quickly has to make up his mistake.Cheng Xiaoshi: Ma, it's your son! Bah- I mean it's your daughter!!
- Emma's mother worries her daughter isn't eating well with Cheng Xiaoshi trying to assure her that take-outs in the 21st century were good and have healthy, fresh ingredients. Just as he picks up a spring roll, there's a worm crawling out of it.
- Cheng Xiaoshi is left without any food with Lu Guang reminding him to stay on task... while he makes some instant noodles back in the studio and is loudly slurping it to Cheng Xiaoshi's growing annoyance.
- The next morning Cheng Xiaoshi is fidgeting as he asks Lu Guang when he can lash out, with Lu Guang reminding him that now wasn't the right time. This leads to Cheng Xiaoshi grumbling to himself and angrily tapping on the laptop.
- Cheng Xiaoshi is supposed to spill his drink somehow, so he decides to get some payback by "pretending" to knock it over (by over-dramatically slapping it). It not only hits the boss in the face, the hot contents also pout onto his lap.
- Lu Guang instructs Cheng Xiaoshi to wipe up the mess, with Cheng Xiaoshi taking delight in pinching and twisting the bosses leg as he "helps him".
Episode 2
- Cheng Xiaoshi telling Lu Guang not to mess with him behind his back or he'd punch his "pretty face". He continues to playfully nudge Lu Guang's face with Lu Guang ending it by holding his hand out to catch it. Lu Guang tells Cheng Xiaoshi he won, since he played "paper" while Cheng Xiaoshi had "rock". Cheng Xiaoshi laughs and notes that Lu Guang is just as childish as he is.
- Cheng Xiaoshi being embarrassed and nervous when it seems like Lin Zhen is flirting with him. When it seems like he's going to do a Spaghetti Kiss with her, Lu Guang tries to call him out for it with Cheng Xiaoshi admitting he didn't do it on purpose.
- Yu Xia subjecting herself to trying their new products, which means Cheng Xiaoshi has to eat a total of six bowls of noodles. He whines back at the studio and says he'll never eat noodles again in his next life. Lu Guang then comes in with food to Cheng Xiaohsi's delight... before he realizes it's a bowl of instant noodles.
- Now in Lin Zhen's body, Cheng Xiaoshi grumbles to Lu Guang who keeps telling him to find clues, with Cheng Xiaoshi yelling at him for being a nag. The taxi driver thinks Lin Zhen is just talking to herself and tells her he's used to his riders doing this and to just let it all out.
- Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang find a photo of Yu Xia and Lin Zhen when they were in college together and created the first noodle of their "Girl's Dorm". He then asks to dive into this photo so he could eat those noodles one last time. Lu Guang refuses causing Cheng Xiaoshi to rub his head against Lu Guang's palm, which he then uses to clap and enter the photo.
- Unsure of what to do, Cheng Xiaoshi asks Lu Guang what he's supposed to say, with Lu Guang pettily shrugging his shoulders. Cheng Xiaoshi in Lin Zhen's body goes off about how the two of them shouldn't consider opening a noodle shop and should invest their time to learning to code so they can make an APP.
Yu Xia: A-P-P? What's an A-P-P?
Lu Guang: "No, no, no! Opening a shop is just fine too!" - Most of the series ends on cliffhangers, but this particular one is hilarious. Just as Cheng Xiaoshi made him and Lu Guang two bowls of what he dubs is the "Male Dormitory Noodles", Qiao Ling comes in. She sees the bowls, grabs one for herself, and promptly leaves. This leads to Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang to awkwardly stare at one another as they're left wondering what they should do with one bowl as the ending song starts to play.
Episode 3
- As Qiao Ling is taking a morning jog, a man who seems to be stalking her reaches out to grab her, causing Lu Guang to intervene. He then says he was actually a client hoping the Time Studio would take his case. He wasn't sure about Qiao Ling since there were rumors on the internet that she was either a fairy, or an old hag.Qiao Ling: Huh?! An old hag?!
- Cheng Xiaoshi in Chen Xiao's body scoring points for his team and causing their morale to boost exponentially. However, this also leads to him being too good and when he tries to self-sabotage so his team would still lose, they justify it as him creating openings for his teammates to make their shots. Cheng Xiaoshi ends up face palming or looking baffled at their misunderstanding.
- Cheng Xiaoshi sabotages go from him hiding behind the opposing team players so his teammates couldn't pass to him, purposefully trying to miss, to even purposefully tripping himself.
- The captain of the other team starts seeing Cheng Xiaoshi as a Worthy Opponent and when he scores, tries to flaunt his skills at the other. However, Cheng Xiaoshi is too busy trying to gloat to Lu Guang that him pretending to be terrible was good acting.
Episode 4
- Worried that he had accidentally erased Lu Guang from existence and not hearing him, Cheng Xiaoshi attempts to leave the dive. Lu Guang quickly tells him stop, leading Cheng Xiaoshi to grin, but still call him a jerk for not replying.
- Cheng Xiaoshi meeting Cheng Xiao's crush and reacting. Made worse when his captain is clearly a Shipper on Deck as he offers to take a photo of the two of them. Cheng Xiaoshi's pose makes him look uncomfortable and he even attempts to put his arm around Chen Xiao's crush, but is stopped by Lu Guang. Before he leaves his captain suddenly tells the two he'll be fine and Chen Xiao should walk his sister back the rest of the way, flustering the two of them.
- As Cheng Xiaoshi returns home, Cheng Xiao's mother tells him to eat. The problem is she keeps offering him food. By the time she tells him they should eat noodles, Cheng Xiaoshi remembering his last job, as well as being too stuffed, tries to politely refuse.
Episode 5
- Being a small village, of course the other neighbors spend their time gossiping and going over to the basketball captain's house since his mother was yelling at them and they wanted to see what would go down.
Episode 5. 5
- At the Time Studio Cheng Xiaoshi is fighting Qiao Ling in a video game and ends up losing. Her price is that if she wins, they boys would have to do a job for a client she found. When Cheng Xiaoshi passes his phone over to Lu Guang, Lu Guang gets pretty fired up as he prepares to fight Qiao Ling, even exuding a dark aura similar to the shot of the martial arts master that ended the cold open. However, she beats him in no time flat (with Cheng Xiaoshi noting he didn't even manage to hit her) and he calmly returns to his book claiming that real men don't hit women.
- Siwen climbing up the steps to fight his girlfriend's father. Then when he gets to the top he loudly yells at how he's come to fight for Ou Yang's hand in marriage. She can't help but laugh at it.
- The unfortunate part is that the first time Siwen attempted that, by the time he got to the top of the steps he passed out due to exhaustion. When Cheng Xiaoshi remembers this, even he can't help but burst out laughing.
- Cheng Xiaoshi teasing Ou Yang and blushing as he notes how cute she is. Lu Guang immediately tells him to knock it off and not say anything extra.
- Cheng Xiaoshi has to climb up the stairs while Lu Guang is chilling in the studio, snacking, reading and taking a nap. He chides Cheng Xiaoshi to not waste time as Cheng Xiaoshi screams and tries to run up the stairs to make up for time.
- Just as he makes it to the top, Lu Guang stops Cheng Xiaoshi, nearly causing the other to fall backwards as he flails since he was a little to early. Then Cheng Xiaoshi has to be the one to yell Siwen's love profession to Ouyang, which embarrasses him.
- Lu Guang asking Cheng Xiaoshi how he sucks at fighting when he was always light on his feet in basketball. Cheng Xiaoshi is too preoccupied trying not to get his ass kicked to really reply.
- An exhausted and elderly Siwen asking if their match can be at the bottom of the mountain next year.
Episode 6
- The group is trying to figure out how they would look for the missing child on that day. Cheng Xiaoshi points out since they weren't looking through a specific photograph, he wouldn't really be in a body. He then wonders if this means he'll be diving into a security camera.
- The head detective on Dou Dou's case sends security footage of his last known location to the Dou Dou's father, telling him that the video is confidential and to not forward it to anyone. Dou Dou's father then sends the video to Qiao Ling, telling her not to let the video spread around. Qiao Ling then sends the video to Lu Guang, and asks him not to send it to Cheng Xiaoshi.
Episode 7
- The episode opens with Lu Guang's voiceover instructions to Cheng Xiaoshi to avoid changing the past or attracting attention... playing over a scene of Cheng Xiaoshi and past Qiao Ling staring at each other with deer-in-the-headlights expressions.
- There's a darkly funny moment when Cheng Xiaoshi sees the drugged ball and picks it up, immediately putting it right under his nose and asking why it smells so nice.
- In Dou Dou's body, Cheng Xiaoshi performs an upper cut on the human trafficker that he learned from the elderly Siwen who named it "Fist of the Heavens" ("Send You to Heaven" in the English dub). Even Lu Guang's expression is just as baffled as Cheng Xiaoshi's.
- Then Cheng Xiaoshi threatens to haunt the human trafficker if she harms Dou Dou as he pretends he is their ancestor.
- Cheng Xiaoshi, Qiao Ling and Lu Guang wearing the sentai masks and posing when Dou Dou is reunited with his family.
Episode 8
- Qiao Ling calling Cheng Xiaoshi dumb and the reason why Lu Guang is the one who makes the decisions for their group.
- Xu Shanshan, an old friend of Qiao Ling seeking out the group for help. However, she and Cheng Xiaoshi get in an argument with her calling him a freeloader and living off the kindness of Qiao Ling.
- Qiao Ling gets so annoyed with Cheng Xiaoshi she ends up beating him up.
- Cheng Xiaoshi holding his bruised face and complaining to Lu Guang over his mistreatment. Cheng Xiaoshi then gets an idea for his revenge on Xu Shanshan. When he dives into her body, he acts prudishly and even picks his nose. Lu Guang just sighs and reminds Cheng Xiaoshi to not ruin Xu Shanshan's reputation.
- Seeing Dong Yi gets a reaction out of Cheng Xiaoshi as he places his hand over his heart as it starts beating fast. Lu Guang reminds Cheng Xiaoshi not to put his hand in weird places.
- Dong Yi asks Xu Shanshan to slow down on the drinking, and Cheng Xiaoshi grumbles that if Dong Yi wasn't so close his heart wouldn't be beating so fast, so he has to drink beer to try and quench it.
- In order to throw off the serial killer, Cheng Xiaoshi pretends he needs to take a piss in the corner. However, as he starts to unzip his pants, he forgets that he's in a girl's body.
- Then he pretends to be throwing up, which doesn't seem to deter the killer. Just as they get close enough, Cheng Xiaoshi realizes he's really going to throw up and ends up puking. The serial killer, hilariously puts the chloroformed cloth over their own mouth in disgust and quickly passes out. Makes sense when it wasn't the serial killer, but the guy who Cheng Xiaoshi turned away earlier.
- Feeling a hand on his/Xu Shanshan's shoulder, Cheng Xiaoshi immediately flips them over and pins them to the ground, ignoring Lu Guang's warning and realizing too late he was pinning Dong Yi to the ground.
Episode 9
- In a moment of darker humour, Lu Guang has gone with Chen Bin at the police station to do whatever he can to make them try to save Xu Shanshan... and then he sees that the security still of the suspect was released, immediately realizes that Cheng Xiaoshi must've seen the photo and thrown himself into danger, and runs off, leaving the confused police officers behind him to wonder what happened to being worried about his missing friend.
- Another darkly funny moment comes when Emma is in the car with Liu Min: she asks why they've changed routes when they're supposedly going to the train station, and he lies and says the GPS rerouted them... but when she asks just a single simple follow up question (how long the estimated travel time is), he immediately gives up the game and admits that he's not driving to the station.

Season Two
Episode 1
- Upon Cheng Xiaoshi's shocked and relieved shout at seeing Lu Guang alive, the latter apologizes for disappointing him before telling him to go away so he can sleep.
- Chen Bin is somehow baffled that his vague question to check whether Cheng Xiaoshi was "informed about the situation" allowed the latter to continue to think Lu Guang was dead.
Episode 2
- When Chen Bin gives Cheng Xiaoshi a bag for his bloodstained clothes and accidentally includes a stuffed animal that was "so cute [Chen Bin] had to buy it", he teasingly says he's learning new things about him. The officer is unamused, telling him it's for his daughter.
- In order to disguise Lu Guang's whereabouts, they need someone trustworthy but not too close to them, so Qiao Ling goes to Master Siwen... and asks him to bring his father-in-law in for surgery.Cheng Xiaoshi: You did WHAT?!
- The nurse going over Lu Guang's post-op care asks whether he's Siwen and Ouyang's son, to which Siwen says that he's his father actually. The nurse is understandably shocked and notes that Lu Guang could pass for their grandchild.
- Siwen tries to claim that the secret of why his supposed father looks so young is "tai chi, climbing stairs, that sort of stuff". Somehow, the nurse believes him.
Episode 3
- When Siwen, Ouyang, and Ouyang's father announce their presence, Cheng Xiaoshi disbelievingly remarks on their presence by shouting, "the Triple Star Warriors?!"
- When Xiao Ma and the lackeys are laughing about the old folks' masks, at least two of them do the poses from the kids' show and one of them starts requesting that they "do the thing", even attempting to recite the iconic lines.
- Ouyang remarks that having to pose as Lu Guang was a good thing because it meant her father had to shave and have a haircut.
- In response to the drunk in the emergency ward, Ouyang's father has such a hard time restraining himself that he warps the metal arm of the chair. This is revealed by the drunk, after they've left, shouting in alarm about seeing a snake next to his seat.
- One of the villains approaches Ouyang's father and starts to mockingly suggest they go home and get some rest. Predictably, this does not end well for him.
- After Ouyang's father's punch sends that lackey hurtling all the way down the corridor and several steps up the staircase, it takes a second for everyone else to turn and look to see where he went.
- When the villains turn their attention back to the old folks, Ouyang and Siwen are fussing over Ouyang's father... not because they're afraid of him overexerting himself, but because they feel the need to remind him that they don't want to kill anyone.
- Those two police officers who dismissed Cheng Xiaoshi in the interrogation room make another appearance, this time interpreting the lackeys' story about the Triple Star Warriors who beat them up as being a sign that they're surprisingly resilient to interrogation.
- Lu Guang says that he needs a nap after everything that's happened, so his friends prepare to end their video call, and Cheng Xiaoshi starts fussing about precautions to take. When he suggests that Lu Guang handcuff himself to the bed, the latter simply hangs up.
- The officer interrogating Xiao Ma remarks that he has been talking a lot... but that he hasn't said anything useful.
- Until the nurse stops him, Lu Guang attempts to go to Chen Bin's funeral... without changing out of his hospital gown other than to put on a black blazer.
- Liu Min's mother irately shouts Cheng Xiaoshi down about his (completely true) claim that he witnessed Liu Min attacking someone with a knife... and then suddenly turns to Qian Jin to ask, in a much more casual and cheerful tone, whether they can get more money from suing the police if Cheng Xiaoshi is lying.
- When Qiao Ling slaps Qian Jin, the handprint gives off little wisps of steam.
- Rather than say anything about her attacking his lawyer, Liu Jing exclaims in shock over the fact that Cheng Xiaoshi addressed her as "landlady".
Episode 4
- When Xiao Ma is recalling the handoff of Liu Min's phone, it ends on him walking away from the hooded figure while casually remarking that the "creepy little ninja almost got his neck snapped".
- Cheng Xiaoshi possibly breaks a record for fastest issue encountered in sticking to the script: he absentmindedly chirps out a reply to Liu Lan before Lu Guang can warn him that Li Tianxi is mute.

- Qian Jin walks into the closet to gloat to Cheng Xiaoshi and continue his plan... and then immediately walks back out, shutting the door and asking what Lu Guang is doing there instead.
- The next time we see him, he's complaining to Li Tianchen about how he got the wrong one and now "the half-dead idiot is bleeding out all over the floor".
- When Cheng Xiaoshi is deliberating on whether or not to dive into Lu Guang's photo from before he snuck out, Qiao Ling deduces that the Lu Guang they saw at the riverside must've been future Cheng Xiaoshi on a dive... because even with Master Siwen's lessons, and even ignoring the fact that he's injured, Lu Guang is apparently not good at fighting and shouldn't have been able to hold his own against Li Tianxi.
- Unsurprisingly, all the talk of branching timelines and the implications of using or not using the photo baffles the three other police officers still in the room. Only when one of them breaks in to ask what they're going on about do the main characters think to ask for privacy.Xiao Li: Look, they're going through something. Can you give us the room?
Episode 9

- Qian Jin says that he has sharp eyes on the police station; the episode then cuts to a very bored Xiao Ma putting his binoculars down and nearly falling asleep against the wheel of a van.
Episode 11
- While they're testing Cheng Xiaoshi's idea for using security footage to let himself basically teleport in the present, Xiao Li complains that the plan makes no sense. Before he can finish his sentence, Cheng Xiaoshi has teleported into the hallway and cheerfully comes back in through the door, telling him that it worked.
- In a dark way, Xiao Ma screaming at Qian Jin that it's only fair if he gets to shoot him in return is such an abrupt departure from the tense, tragic atmosphere of the rest of the scene that it's laughable.
Episode 12
