• According to Death, Batman trying to cook for himself apparently counts as a near-Death experience.
• The first time Renka is in a spar, Wonder Woman asks her to give it everything she’s got… not realizing that’s a lot. Black Canary, hearing about the spar but not the details, asks Renka to ‘treat [her] like she had Wonder Woman’ just barely avoids death. When, several in-story months later, Rocket has her first spar with Renka, she barely finishes telling Renka to give her everything she’s got before everyone is screaming ‘NO!’.
• Aqualad finesses Aquaman into visiting a pair of Atlantean traders who brought their mobile store to Happy Harbor to smooth their current trouble with the local authorities, which the King does by declaring their store an Atlantean consulate. However, to chastise his apprentice for doing this, he assigns Aqualad to be the consul and do the paperwork that smooths over things. Which is a LOT of paperwork, because it’s a consulate now.
• A bit dark, but during an important conversation, Queen Mera tells Renka nothing the latter says will make her think any less of her. Renka counters by immediately mentioning the time she had to pull a Skitter.
• Poison Ivy, having just been recruited to the Light, finds out Queen Bee is her boss, and blurts out that she thought Queen Bee being a supervillain was a meme.
