• Corporal Harrigan's defeated, weary exasperation at the use his Ivy League education is being put to: an intermediary for crude sexts between an officer and his wife.
  Harrigan: I studied classics at Dartmouth.
  Swofford: It's a good school.
• While at an (unofficial) Christmas party, Fergus accidentally starts a fire while cooking sausages. The resulting Mass "Oh, Crap!" looks, Swofford looking like a deer in the headlights (he had nothing on but a thong) and Fergus sheepishly apologizing for what happened are pretty hilarious, as much as a military drama can get.
