• The power of Ig's horns before he puts them to use tracking down Merrin's killer.
  • First, he goes to the doctor's office - prompting a mother of a Spoiled Brat to confess to hating the little shit (and the girl hates her mother right back, possibly for cheating on daddy), and the receptionist calmly unleashes a Cluster F-Bomb on the woman for not controlling her daughter. Then once he gets into the doctor's office, the doc reveals he's Getting High on Their Own Supply, and Ig wakes up to the doctor fucking his nurse halfway through trying to remove the horns, taking an oblivious "nod" from Ig as evidence they should do so.
  • Then Ig heads to his usual bar, hounded by reporters - he tells them that if they really want an exclusive interview, he'll give one to whoever beats the shit out of the others. In the bar itself, Ig demands to know if anyone has information about Merrin's murder...and the bartender confesses to just wanting to burn the bar down for insurance money, calmly doing so in the background as Ig talks.
    • Another patron admits to exhibitionism and immediately pulls his pants down to show his equipment to everyone. Ig is horrified, but the other patrons are mostly apathetic.
• Early in the movie, Ig wakes up after a night of drinking, puts David Bowie's "Heroes" on his record player, and just sits up in bed peacefully listening... Then he looks out the window, sees people protesting outside with signs about him being a murderer, and puts his hands on the still-revolving record, slowing it down and basically providing his own Letting the Air out of the Band effect.
