Nene looking out for Aloe, the Nenechi way.

Considering this is a fan work of hololive, which may as well be considered more an entertainment company than an idol company with it's fair share of funny moments, it's got plenty of it's own to lighten the mood.

Spoilers Off as per wiki policy

Story Mode

Rapping Reaper
  • When Nene started an impromptu stream of Aloe's rap battle with Calli, she reassures the worried succubus with the promise that nobody can see her. Cut to an image showcasing a typical Nene stream layout: copies of Nene's appearance flooding most of the layout to conveniently block the subjects present, complete with various Stylistic Suck attachments such as a seal hoodie, stock image glasses, and her arms wielding stuff such as a tablet, microphone and baton. There's even some gems in the form of Nene's chat:
    Unseen user: Megalovania lol!
EatingMikeTyson's Superchat: Konnichiwa Nene-chan, can you say, "Hi Honey?"
TelosXX: These bars are so... primitive. Give me a chance to challenge Calliope, I swear I'll blow you all out of the park!
    KadeDev: I'm scared.

Spooky HoloEN Month

  • Anytime the AmeSame duo revert into their Chibi forms, whether it be missing a note at specific intervals — punctuated by an "a" and a "hic" from Gura and Ame respectively, or as an Oh, Crap! expression upon meeting Haachama.
  • After the first song, Gura teases Ame over her general Sore Loser attitude, prompting the latter to threaten Gura with "I'm making an appointment with your mom after this."

Kiryu Clan Forever

  • Even In-Universe, Coco's not spared from the Kagai-Niki trolling her, with one her own grunts triggering her hatred of bad Japanese with a "Wakarunderstand".
  • After clearing the first song, Aloe voices her concerns about riding the top of the speeding limos, appropriately panicy over what was intended to be a friendly rap battle.
  • The NePoLaBo showing up to support Aloe in her rap battle with Coco, which would be generally heartwarming if not for some factors:
    • From "Cinderella" onward, we see the vehicle driving alongside both limos being a motorized shopping cart, akin to Botan's choice of vehicle in Trials: Rising. While they all intended to support Aloe, two of the members are a bit preoccupied; Lamy is wasted drunk the whole time, while Polka is desperately clinging on to the speeding vehicle in a constant panic.
    • When Aloe takes notice of their choice in ride, she questions if it's even safe. Botan tries reassuring her...
Botan: Ehhh, could use some more space, but otherwise 100% safe!
Polka: HOW DO YOU STOP THIS THING?!
      Botan: 75% safe!
    • When Nene proclaims to always support Aloe, she asks for Lamy's affirmation... while the latter is drunken out of her mind, leaving her with a not so reassuring response.
Nene: And we'll always have your back, no matter what! Isn't that right, Lamy-chan?
      Lamy: Haahaha yeah man..... wheeee.....
      Nene: ...
  • For Coco's second song "Cinderella", she sings with actual vocals from the IRL Coco singing "24-Hour Cinderella". More specifically, it's from her un-archived karaoke stream while she's completely wasted, the sampled voice clip even includes her slurring her words and deviating completely from the lyrics to laugh.
  • While during the otherwise somber moment that is Coco's resignation from the Kiryu Clan, we have the yakuza officer trying to keep his cool and ultimately failing, begging Coco not to leave with an "onegaishiplease!"

Happy Holo-Days

  • The plot of most of the week is Calli wanting vengeance against Santa for the many present-less nights throughout her youth, with her directing her retribution towards fellow HoloEN member Ina, who just so happened to be dressing up as Santa for a promotional event in August. Aloe (and later Fubuki) tries to prevent any more escalation via rap battle with Calli, with Calli pointing her gun at Ina the entire time she sings alongside Kiara.
  • Aloe's second attempt to delay the shooting has her suggest singing a more festive song, with Nene interpreting it as a way to taunt Santa before he dies, to Aloe's exasperation at Nene's ignorance. This naturally convinces Calli to go through as a means to make her revenge all the more appealing.
Calli: Maybe. I suppose it'd spice up the revenge I've been waiting for all this time. Wouldn't you agree, Santa?
Ina: I really should've stayed home today.
  • The fact that Kiara, who's normally the Wise Guy to Calli's Straight Man, is the one trying to reign in Calli's antics this time, trying to convince the latter of her mistake throughout. Though, Kiara is still easily persuaded by Calli:
Kiara: Oh, knock it off, Calli! Really, how do you think it'll look on the news if they find out you shot a mall Santa?
Calli: If you quit talking, you can keep sitting on my lap.
    Kiara: Okay!
  • Upon getting it through her head that she just threatened a fellow HoloEN member with a gun, Calli apologizes in a panic, her portrait suddenly depicted as an edit of Hanabira panicking as she goes out of frame.
  • Aloe, upon picking up the dropped DEEZ Evoker, discovers it's just a model prop not designed to be used like a traditional gun, all of this visualized by an Ace Attorney evidence get popup. The popup even questions why Calli thought using it as a lethal weapon was a good idea to begin with.

HoloDate Funkin'

  • Before the 6.0.0 update's release, this week was advertised as one for Roberu Yukoku, who had been memetically compared to Senpai since the latter even existed. Indeed, Roberu does appear in the week... for a grand total of 21 seconds. Before he can even get a second turn in the song "Son", he gets pulled away by a Vaudeville Hook and the real opponent of the week, Nekomata Okayu, shows up at the bottom of the screen.
    • Meta: the Holofunk team was clearly extremely dedicated to keeping this fakeout a secret. Interface Spoiler is subverted twice with a fake timer length for "Son" and a fake list of songs for the week selection screen, and even the trailers for the 6.0.0 update feature footage of the supposed "Roses" replacement "On the Rocks" (different sprite and all!), all just to guarantee this moment throws the player off-guard.
  • After "Sinner", the player is given a Nintendo Switch crash screen before cutting to Aloe/Fubuki and Nene/Mio at Korone's house lamenting the console they were playing on having broken down because of the song. This causes them to be confronted by Korone, who's so consumed with rage at said broken console that she takes out a goddamn chainsaw to try and kill the two.

Freeplay Exclusive

  • The fact that the mad-lads behind this mod charted Fubuki's memetic glasses rant, with it coming in two different flavors:
    • "Glasses" is a one-to-one cover of "Guns", just with Fubuki's rant auto tune-synced to the opponent vocals. Fubuki even suddenly starts ascending like in the "Tankmen Ascends" video during the latter half of the song, with the Player Character following after her when they sing their verse. By the end of the song, they both reached the edge of the planet's atmosphere, illustrated by the low-quality background of space.
    • "Rant" is ninety percent Fubuki's Motor Mouth rant about glasses, which translates to a Zerg Rush of arrows to input. Even funnier is the non-standard difficulty listed when selecting the song, being the widely circulated translation of the glasses rant that covers one-third of the screen before getting cut off by the UI.
  • Kiryu Coco's "Weather Hackers", while generally heartwarming in the context of why it's included, still veers into funny because of the sudden censored beeps playing during the chorus section ("Good morning, motherfuckers!"), despite being sung in the classic FNF styled beep-boop-bops. Doubly funny when the playable characters (including Aloe, Nene and Fubuki) repeat her words in the same fashion, as if even In-Universe Kiryu Coco invokes Innocent Swearing in her senpais and kouhais.

Other

  • On the options menu there's a door in the bottom right corner. Upon meeting the conditions and entering, you're met with a Kiryu Coco mixed with Spamton, who runs a price-fluctuating shop selling songs and features exclusive to freeplay.
  • On rare occasions whenever you Game Over, the typical theme associated with the player character gets replaced with the memetic Baka Mitai, normally exclusive to Camellia's game over when he's playable. To rub salt in the wound for any player possibly struggling to beat a particularly difficult song (namely "Killer Scream") and getting the theme to play for the first time, you earn an achievement for it.
  • Pressing "p" on the main menu brings up a menu asking to enter a password, of which there are multiple codes to use. While there are a handful of MV songs that can be accessed this way, plus some cheat codes, the codes mostly results in voice-clips, effects, and various other gags.
    • The fact that learning the specific codes involves taking the menu's "enter password" message at face value and type "password" as the password.
    • Typing burger suddenly causes a burger image to over much of the screen, complete with the Attack on Titan theme overriding the background music.
