Despite being set in a Crapsack World, Gundala does have its moments of levity.
- When Sancaka was asked about beating 30 people in the market without taking a scratch, he denied that he's a hero. Wulan's friend hit him with a stick twice mid-sentence to prove a point and on the second hit, he fainted. Of course, turns out he was okay just seconds later, dissuading Wulan and her friends. When Pak Agung tended to his head wound, he hit Sancaka on the head again (with a small book). 'Just to be sure', he said...
- Wulan cooked for Sancaka. Teddy thinks that she likes Sancaka, so he egged him to compliment on Wulan:Teddy: Don't ask why she's cooking. *beat* I think she likes you.Sancaka: *Thinks* Why are you wearing a skirt?Teddy: *Facepalm*Wulan: What is wrong with wearing a skirt!? (proceeds to fume off-screen)
- Sancaka's first attempt at a costume; two radio antenna duct taped to his temples.Teddy: *leaves silently*Pak Agung: ...I feel ashamed to be Indonesian...
- During the crafting montage, he took Wulan's bag for parts, and her face screams "should I say something?"
- After explaining how resonance works:Teddy: ...How do you know all that?Sancaka: Read a book.
- Sancaka asking Pak Agung to kick him with a flying kick. He agreed. Pak Agung is an old man.Pak Agung: Why are you asking an old man to fly around anyway?!
