• Most of Slovotsky's Laws fit here (and the remaining ones generally qualify for Heartwarming or Tearjerker). Some of the funnier samples include:
  • "I always have a fallback position when I take a risk. If all else fails, I'll die horribly, at great length, and in great pain. Mind you, it's not a good fallback position."
  • "Travel, it seems to me, has always done more for flattening the arches, callusing the feet, and irritating the hemorrhoid than broadening the mind."
  • "Arguing is one of life's great pleasures, even if you have to argue with yourself. Course, I could enjoy the other side of that argument, too."
  • "When the black camel comes for me, I'm not going to go kicking and screaming - I am, however, going to try to talk him out of it. 'No, no, you want the other Walter Slovotsky.'"
• While Karl's final fight in the Great Games also qualifies as a Crowning Moment of Awesome, it is undeniably hilarious when he realizes he doesn't have to outfence a better swordsman if he can just throw him out of the ring and get him disqualified for leaving the playing field.
• Also at the Great Games, Karl battles like crazy to win the money the party needs for its expedition ... and afterward, Walter quietly tells Ahira that the odds were so long, he didn't bother betting on Karl to win. Instead he hung out in the crowd and picked pockets all day.
  AHIRA: "He'll break your neck."
  WALTER: "Only if one of you tells."
  AHIRA: "We won't. But if it happens to slip out ..."
  WALTER: (Nods) "I'd better work on my sprinting."
  AHIRA: (Shakes head) "No, make that long-distance running."
