Funny / G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (IDW)

  • ARAH Issue #180 (IDW continuation): The Joes have to track down a guy with a stolen component to a deadly nuclear weapon. Complication: He's trying to hide in the crowd at a Comic-Con. Scarlett gets to spend half the mission getting chased by a jerk in an Optimus Prime costume who just won't take "no" for an answer.
    • Not to mention the issue's cover having Snake Eyes with an entry pass inbetween his two grenades and survival knife.
  • ARAH Issue #203's cover has Zarana about to let Dr. Mindbender have it, and there's the "get-well-soons" written on her cast on page 1.
  • In issue 209, Snake-Eyes gives Sean his own personal Skyes-Fairbairn commando dagger, causing Clutch to remark that Sean must rate because he never got one of those. Scarlett and Cover Girl then kiss Sean while encouraging him to do well on his assignment in Texas, which causes Clutch to indignantly remark that he never got one of those, either.
  • Issue 211 has a bit where Cover Girl acts seductive to distract some Cobra agents. The Blue Ninja cyborg with them is not amused.
Blue Ninja: You meat entities are so weak...
  • Obake Obaasan sees Red Ninjas sneaking up on her in issue 263 when she's trying to pay her respects to the Hard and Soft Masters. She scares them off by informing them she has a new brick in her bag.
  • A page of ARAH Issue #269 has a female Siegie, who had just returned from a mission by Cobra Commander to capture Snake Eyes, being given every weapon sort of a HISS to keep him captured... after he was tied to a gurney and locked in a vault. No word yet on how unprepared that left her.
  • ARAH Issue #299's cover is a sheet full of childish doodles made by Cobra Commander showing what he really thinks of almost everyone.
