Funny / Dracula (2020)

Go To

  • Dracula using Mother Superior's head as a bouquet toss when trying to decide which nun to pick off first. His gleeful exclamation of "Oh, we got a winner!" just seals it.
    • From the same scene, Dracula sitting down on a chair in the middle of the convent's courtyard while the nuns are being ripped apart by wolves all around him. At one point one can hear the sound of tearing flesh, followed by the Count grinning broadly while commenting "Ooh, that had to hurt!" in a tone more akin to someone watching a fail compilation on Youtube.
    • Later, the genuinely terrifying shot of Dracula ripping off Jonathan's flayed skin revealing himself is only slightly undercut by Claes Bang's shit-eating grin saying "I've been dying to meet you!"
  • From the first episode
Mother Superior: Why would the forces of darkness wish to attack a convent?
Agatha van Helsing: [deadpan] ...perhaps they are sensitive to criticism.
  • The introduction to Piotr (the real one) shows him lying in bed, dead. A caption says "Piotre, the Deckhand, Deceased." As if the audience didn't have eyes.
  • The Grand Duchess speaking to Dracula in German. For once in the series, Dracula looks so lost and bewildered, as though she were sputtering gibberish to him.
  • Agatha calling Dracula "Pig!"
  • Lord Ruthven practically sobbing over how his fiancee Dorabella has gone missing. Knowing his true orientation, his lover Adisa is dumbfounded by how he's hamming it up a bit.
  • Dracula's reaction to being shot in the chest multiple times by Adisa? "Ow."
  • When Sister Agatha points out they have everything they need to fight Dracula, Captain Sokolov remarks that indeed they have all they need for a tea party, as he reveals the majority of their cargo are porcelain dolls.
  • Before we find out what happened to her husband, the wife asks Dracula these gems of questions:
Wife: [sees refrigerator tied up in the middle of the kitchen] What did you do to me fridge?
Dracula: [rather distractedly] Is that the white box?
    Wife: (...) Yeah.
Dracula: [still distractedly] Bob's in the fridge.
  • Dracula messes with the light-switch not unlike his cameo incarnation in Spongebob.
  • Dracula so casually cutting off Bob's fingers so the former can close the fridge.
  • When Dracula is brought into the Jonathan Harker Foundation and sees his portrait, he remarks with quiet disbelief/familiarity "Johnny?"
  • When everyone learns that Jack Seward's blood type is O Negative, everyone else remarks "Vanilla".
  • "Who gave him the wi-fi password?!?"
    • "It's my name."
  • Zoey's exasperation that Frank Renfield is unfazed how his company's client (Dracula) hasn't aged a century after he employed their services.
  • Upon seeing her hideous, burnt, undead form for the first time, Lucy has a complete meltdown, screaming and sobbing hysterically. Dracula gently tries to calm her down. It doesn't work.
    Dracula: [gently] Listen to me...
    Lucy: [ugly sobbing]
    Dracula: [firmer] Listen.
    Lucy: [more sobbing]
Dracula: [firm, slightly irritated] Listen to me.
    Lucy: [shrieking sobs]
    Dracula: [grabs her face] LISTEN!
    • It gets funnier when you realize that Dracula could easily have used his persuasion abilities to make Lucy stop crying; instead, he yells at her in a scolding voice, like a parent trying to discipline an unruly child who just broke the cookie jar.
