- In episode 2, after Kazuya visits an injured Erika at the hospital and takes her to visit the gardens, some onlooking hospital staff comment on them and a doctor states that the two remind him of a Shoujo manga. When a nurse laughs, he asks her if it sounds funny, and she replies that it doesn't because she reads three volumes a week herself, stunning the doctor.
- In episode 11, Kyoushiro is confronted by a woman claiming to be his lover, and when he expresses confusion, she reminds him that years ago, he confessed his love to her. We then get this flashback.(Scene: Kyoushiro and Reiko sitting at a library together, while the former holds a textbook)Kyoushiro: "Come on, at least try to read it."Reiko: (throws her head back) "I've had enough! I can't figure it out! Why do I have to waste my time with this?"Kyoushiro: "What a bother. Okay, just remember this then: Je t'aime."Reiko: "Je t'aime? What does that mean?"Kyoushiro: "It means 'I love you'. Come on, you do the next one."Reiko: (eyes widen) "Say it one more time, please?"Kyoushiro: "Okay, okay. As much as you like. Je t'aime. Je t'aime. Je t'aaiiime!"Reiko: "So that's how you feel..."
- While all this is happening, the two are in a secluded room, under the impression that they have an expectation of privacy. Unbeknownst to them, Kazuya and Nana have their ears next to the door, eager to learn every juicy detail of Kyoushiro and his supposed lover, while trying not to laugh like hyenas. Many other Daimovic workers see this and join in on the eavesdropping. When Shinichiro sees them and asks what's going on, one worker shushes him.
Daimovic Worker: "Please be quiet, Professor. They're getting to the good part!"- However, Kyoushiro hears their giggling and pushes a button that opens the door, causing them all to fall headfirst. As he glares at them, Kazuya looks up at him and grins.
- Reiko enters a car with Kyoushiro, under the impression that the two are going shopping for wedding preparations.
Shinichiro Izumi: "Take all the time you need!"Kyoushiro (inner monologue): "Once I've dropped her off, I'm coming back."- Even funnier is that Reiko is an Upper-Class Twit who looks down on the poor, and in episode 4, Kyoushiro quotes Marx.
Kyoushiro: "As Marx said, doubt everything"note- Kyoushiro's face
when Reiko finally leaves.
- In episode 19, Miwa finally gets his comeuppance for being a bigoted, blood-hungry, sociopathic asshole in the form of Kyoushiro grabbing him with one arm and tossing him in a swimming pool.
- In episode 21, Miwa confuses an Earthern woman for Erika and orders his troops to arrest her so she can tell him the secret location of the underwater base. However, when Kyoushiro points out that it's not Erika, it's just someone who looks like her, everyone laughs at him.
- In episode 29, Miwa is awarded a United Nations medal for his efforts in stopping the Baamite invasion of Earth, in short he stole credit from Kazuya who did all the effort. He then orders the usage of an H-bomb.
