- As a prelude to the heist, Ninja tricks Chappie into helping him commit carjackings by telling him the cars were his to begin with and he's taking them back. However, on the first attempt, Chappie is more concerned with punishing the "thief" than getting the car... So the driver looks on in complete bafflement as a spray-painted, bling-wearing police robot starts demolishing his car while childishly scolding him for stealing from "daddy".
- When Chappie tries speaking gangsta, he has a habit of saying "fuck-motha" instead of "motha-fucka".
- "Don't laugh, I'm being cool."
- In a bit of Mood Whiplash, you may notice that during the finale, in the scene leading up to Chappie beating Moore within an inch of his life, Chappie doesn't drop his gangsta walk as he swaggers towards Moore while pistol rounds ineffectually bounce off him.
- Frankly, the entire scene is hilarious. You get an entire movie of Moore being an absolute insufferable dick and then Chappie walks in and starts flinging him around like a rag doll. It's all fairly reminiscent of the "puny god" scene from The Avengers.
- Especially punctuating the brutal beating with loudly lecturing Moore on why violence and hurting people is bad. Hypocritical Humour done right.
- The cherry on top is Chappie’s line after beating Moore to near death.Chappie: Now, I forgive you bad man.
