Funny / Catra and Glimmer - Queens of the Horde

Go To

Even in a story as grim as this one, there is still comedy to be had.

As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

Act One

  • DT, in their very first appearance outside the trailer, tells the audience to make themselves comfortable. The narration notes that they somehow made that sound like an innuendo.

Act Two

  • While hunting for Catra and Glimmer, Lonnie tries to figure out why Catra risked raiding a Horde camp to steal cake. Kyle suggests she maybe wanted to impress Glimmer. Lonnie scofs at the idea, but the readers know Kyle was entirely correct.

Act Three

  • In the end of chapter 22 Adora shows up out of nowhere. It's really Double Trouble in disguise. Exactly zero readers were fooled.

Act Five

  • In the opening, Hordak and Angella have a friggin' tea party while waiting for the act to start. Angella reads out the warning tags, and apparently Glimmer hasn't been entirely forthcoming just what sort of story she stars in.
"Glimah? You said this was a perfectly family friendly production?"
"Sheeeesh, mom! It will be fine," Glimmer's annoyed voice was heard.

Act Six

  • While trying to kill Catra in the first ones temple, Shadow Weaver says it's a shame that Glimmer chose to rut with Catra. Catra takes this to mean that she married up, a sentiment she agrees with.
  • Catra snaps at Scorpia for having accidentally destroyed something with her new powers, before stopping herself and trying to mutter out an awkward apology. She is relieved when Shadow Weaver shows up to crash the party.
  • After deciding that it'll be easier to simply kill them all, Shadow Weaver gets a canon in the face from Kyle. After recovering, she muses that she never thought him consequential enough to kill, but you live and learn. She does, not everyone else. Because she'll kill them.
