- Let's be honest, the scene with the mountebank is pretty amusing in context. The guy walks right up to a vampire and sells her an anti-vampire charm. He also is the only person in the entire story who notices that Carmilla has fangs...but his only reaction to this is to offer to file them down for her. She throws a rather bratty temper tantrum in response.
