Funny / Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix

Go To

Even with the series' dramatic tone and cynical setting, there are moments of comedy here and there.

    General
  • Bullfrog, being one of the few lighthearted characters in the show, makes for many comedic moments.

    • Rayman's meeting with Bullfrog in Episode 5 has him approach the hybrid with trepidation with Bullfrog's back turned... Only for Bullfrog to turn around, sipping on a juice box looking happy as a clam. And then he offers Rayman one of his juice boxes. "Tropical or orange?"

    Episode 1
  • The over-the-top trailer for "Traitor: The fall of the Laserhawk", which goes out of its way to vilify Dolph Laserhawk as a drug-addicted, sex-crazed warmonger.
Rayman: Fascinating. A must watch for everybody.
    • Immediately after this, Rayman addresses Dolph and Alex with a empowering speech that glorifies Eden, then immediately advertises Must Dance Live coming up after the commercial break.
  • Bullfrog's introduction. First, he descends from the ceiling of the cell that he and his soon-to-be colleagues are held in, startling everyone. Then, he monologues their current situation while everyone is just standing in total amazement by his being an anthropomorphic frog.
Bullfrog: I can feel the blood of my brotherhood trying to say something to me. We are here for a reason. Our memories live on past us, embedded in the DNA of our ancestors...
Cody: (talking over Bullfrog) That's a fuckin' frog.
    Dolph: Yeah. That's a frog.
Bullfrog: (snapping) Yes, I'm a frog, all right?! But, uh, first and foremost... I am from the Brotherhood of the Assassin. My name is Bull— (gags, then retches out a large bubble)
    Cody: Jesus!
(Jade takes a picture of the bubble)

    Episode 2
  • Jade’s attempts at seducing a tiger guard as portrayed as a dating sim. For example, she puts a cigarette in her mouth filter out.

    Episode 3
  • Rayman's on-air blowup is funny due to how unexpected in nature it is. Up until this point in the show, Rayman was known for being a memorable video game mascot in real life. So hearing him deliver a Precision F-Strike at Niji Red on live television after Red starts spouting broad anti-alien remarks while being interviewed comes as a shocking surprise. Lucie, the reporter on the scene, tries to ease the tension only to immediately motion to cut the feed.
Niji Red: You got that, Laserpidgeon? You can sling all the filthy interdimensional alien scum our way and the Niji 6 will always protect—
Rayman: Whoa, wait. What did you just say?
    Niji Red: What?
Rayman: "Interdimensional alien scum"? I was a refugee who came from Dimension X, sir. Am I scum to you?
Lucie: That's not what he meant. ( chuckles ) Right? Right, Red?
Niji Red: (sighs) I said what I said.
Rayman: (laughs) Really? Then why don't you say it to my face without cameras, YOU FUCKING RED PRICK?!
(The broadcast cuts to an ETV disclaimer reading ''We apologize for these technical difficulties'')
  • The Hybrids song from the Rayman Kids segment of Eden Kids telling kids to be grateful for hardworking hybrids is followed by Eden's treatment of cobra hybrids for their production of Cobra Juice.
