As bleak as the story and setting are, this film also has it's humorous moments:
- Zain undoing the blouse of the ballerina in one of the amusement park's rides, exposing her breasts. Rahil notices this too, and she also laughs at the sight.
- Zain coming up with bogus explainations to why Yonas is black, given that he's trying to pass the baby as his brother.
- He tells Maysoun that he and other siblings that he has other than Yonas were also born with dark skin, but that their skin got lighter over time.
- He's seen rehearsing in front of a mirror at Rahil's house what to tell to the people that work for Caritas. He planned on telling them that their mother drank too much coffee while she was pregnant with Yonas, and that's why he has dark skin.
