• May be an accidental example but Erin Winters (Former Ruler of Hell) asking God for help in a tough situation is pretty funny.
• "When I was 13 I spent two months with a shop dummy. I was transfixed./I called her Sandra./For a month of that time, Beckwith, she didn't even have a head."
• The classroom scene from the beginning of "The Case of the School Spirit" has this exchange— "What do we know about old people?" "They fought in a war!" "They like The Beatles!"
• Mildred's mother bluntly informs her to 'remember her father this way' after he goes to try and capture a 'wild dog'.
