In Episode 4, when Yukiatsu leads the others on a wild goose chase by claiming he saw Menma, Menma herself goes along with it, calling out Menma and complaining that she didn't get to see Menma once.
The start of episode 6 will catch you off-guard.
The end of the episode is no slouch either, with Anaru's brilliant response to Jintan's bloody nose.
Tsuruko catches some flak from some rivals for Yukiatsu's affections, Yukiatsu smugly says that it's his fault that other girls are jealous of her. In response, Tsuruko snarkily suggests that she show them a photo of Yukiatsu in a dress.
