  • This exchange:
Mouse: What's your name, if that isn't a rude question?
    Alice: It's Alice.
Mouse: Oh...well, that's not your fault.
Alice: (gives him a "what the heck?" look)
  • When Alice recites You Are Old Father William, the Caterpillar proceeds to give a Double Take to the vision of the poem he sees and then checks his hooka, thinking he's really gotten higher than usual to see something that unusual, which by Wonderland standards, says something.
  • When the Mad Hatter says he rests his case to Alice's question about his unusual watch, the Hare asks for clarification, it turns out he meant it literally as he points to a pile of briefcases that happen to be there.
  • The exchange between the Queen of Hearts and the Knave. It's not hard to see why even an incredibly ill-tempted person like her would be exasperated at his lack of wit and clarity of communication. Or he's deliberately misinterpreting to get under her skin with subtle jabs.
Queen of Hearts: Who is this?
Knave of Hearts: I agree entirely.
Queen of Hearts: Don't be ridiculous.
Knave of Hearts: Would I lie to you, Your Majesty?
    Queen of Hearts: Yes.
Knave of Hearts: Oh well, thank you. Compliments are always welcomed.
Queen of Hearts: You're an idiot.
Knave of Hearts: That's right, Your Majesty. Only you can spot that. Takes one to know one.
Queen of Hearts: A complete idiot.
  • When the Queen answers Alice's question if she can play croquet, she gets this deadpan response all while her group is doing ridiculous poses in the background.
Queen Of Hearts: I'm not in the habit of talking to myself. And that's only the way I can get an intelligent conversation around here.
  • As Alice awkwardly attempts to use the flamingo, like the others are doing, it slowly turns around to look at her while she looks sheepish. At the same time, the hedgehog is appearing to be both bored and annoyed that she's not quite succeeding in hitting him.
  • When Alice talks to the Cheshire Cat about her thoughts on the Queen, she's about to say how unpleasant she is just as the Queen slowly approaches her from behind, causing Alice to make a glance and change her opinion to empty flattery, which causes the Queen to pat her head for the compliment.
