Just the fact that the characters in the series treat being involved in the Maid Café business as incredibly shady akin to being involved with the Mob is always funny, and serves as the backbone for a lot of the show’s humor.
Several of the maids include cute animal sounds in their threats, whether it by Nya/Meow for Cat-themed maids, Moos for cow-themed maids, and in one case a rabbit-themed maids lightly hops while doing their mob-esqe business.
Episode 2: The reveal that maids unable to pay their casino debts are sold into slavery is equal parts disturbing and comical, since we see an Imagine Spot of Nagomi forced to work on a fishing boat in Siberia... while still wearing a frilly maid outfit. And a crab lands on her face.
Episode 4: Yasuko (the manager) attends a meeting of Creatureland managers while sipping tea. When summoned to the stage, not knowing what to do with the teacup and plate, she hastily shoves them down her trousers.
