Funny / Age of Wonders: Planetfall

• Mah Reg'nib's exploits are just as improbable and hilarious as those of his fantasy cousin Ham Binger. Highlights include:
  • Enslaved by the Syndicate, he kills his Subjugator master and incapacitates all guards in the compound...completely by accident while cleaning the Subjugator's hoverchair.
  • At some point, he stumbles into a Shakarn infiltration team and actually infiltrates them in turn, posing as "Orbital Invasion Instructor Mah Reg'Lizard" to encourage crop circle creation and cattle vivisection over more effective methods. Bonus points: the flavor text for this is spoken in the deadly-serious deep rumble of the Shakarn announcer, who says that every true Shakarn instinctively knows this and not to question it.
  • He escapes an Assembly attack by getting the multiple heads of an Inspector (their scout unit) to argue among themselves.
  • Multiple stories can be summed up as "I warned them, they didn't listen, and so they all died in very darkly humorous ways."
• The flavor text for the Voradon neutral unit, an insanely dangerous hybrid of a Tyrannodon and a Kir'ko Ravenous, mentions that it was created to be the primary attraction at the "Geneticaworld" themepark. Fans of the Jurassic Park franchise will probably already know how that turned out.
• Inessa Zhelazzo finally gets enough xenoplague research done in Star Kings to allow her to remove her environment suit, and is immediately horrified by direct exposure to sunlight, bugs and dirt. She goes right back into her suit.
• One archaeological dig site uncovers a sinister research lab where experiments on hopperhounds and Kir'ko were being made, including a monstrous Kir'ko/hopperhound hybrid. Some sort of horrible genetics weapons lab, right? Wrong. The creature bleeds barbecue sauce on death. This was a food laboratory. You can turn the whole thing into a high-yield food sector afterwards selling bugburgers.
