  • The early summation of the "Ends of the Earth" travel blog's suggestion system.
Cliff: You want us to go eat live crickets in Cambodia, we will do that. [Beat] Derek will do that, and I will film him doing that!
  • In an early scene, Derek actually lampshades the Ho Yay between the two leads by presenting Clif with a jade good-luck charm... and deliberately making it look like he's proposing to him, much to the delight of the party guests.
  • Derek's amusement over Clif's filming equipment.
    Derek: What exactly is this?
Clif: That is a strap-on. note
    Derek: A what?
    Clif: Strap-on.
  • The Go-Car, and just about every point the resident rock-stars tease Clif and Derek over it.
  • Clif's ludicrously over-edited Lock-and-Load Montage as he prepares his camera rig, concluding with a shot of Derek's bemused expression.
  • The ribbing that Clif, Zach and Edo give Derek as he gears up to pick up chicks in Paris. For added fun, Derek is clearly trying very hard not to laugh in this scene.
Clif: Okay, Derek, if we find you a suitably-drunk French girl with low enough standards, do you think you can take her home. Just take a quick poll?
Zach: I think he's going to succeed in getting her where he wants to get her, but I think she's going to have a terrible time.
Edo: With that Canadian vibe, he's not going anywhere tonight.
Derek: Actually, with you guys at my wing, I'm pretty much screwed.
  • Not long after discovering his powers, Derek actively ignores Clif's pleas for him to make for the nearest hospital, and instead decides to go climbing around on buildings and jumping across rooftops. In the end, he decided to prove that he isn't sick by making a seemingly impossible landing from the highest building in the square. What makes this funny? After making the jump, Derek has this to say:
    PROVED IT! Okay?
    [promptly keels over]
    Okay, okay. Hospital.
  • Clif "attempting to harness the power of the Internet" in order to pick out the specific traits of Derek's vampirism, much to Derek's annoyance.
  • Though otherwise a very harrowing scene, the big chase in Vernazza does result in a laugh or two around the third time Derek gets shot by the cops; by this time, he's worked out that the bullets can't actually kill him, and as a result he's stopped sounding scared and started sounding irritated - to the part that he can be heard shouting "Stop it! Stop shooting me!" over his shoulder in an almost hilariously frustrated tone of voice.
  • Night 22's log, conducted while Derek is on the run from the cops and still horribly burned after sprinting through the sun. Again, it's all in the delivery.
I am... somewhere east of Nice. Good thing is, my face stopped bleeding.
  • As grim as the climax is, Derek livestreaming the attempted interrogation ends up becoming funny simply because he's simply too angry and distressed to react with anything other than pure Black Comedy.
Welcome to an "Ends of the Earth" live-streaming event! Tonight we have a very special guest in Maurice... [checks his ID]... Behar. Now, Maurice here is 56 years old, living right here in Paris, and he has a very unusual pastime. [holds up a medical saw]
