BMO

• BMO telling Y5 that Earth is called "BMO world".

Obsidian

• Marcy using her bat beast form to very gently hammer a nail.
• Simon pleading that he's too old to die.
• There's something funny about how no one in the Glass Kingdom knows for certain if Marceline is still alive despite the fact that she is: 1) a famous musician, 2) dating the former ruler of the most powerful kingdom in Ooo and 3) best friends with legendary heroes, Finn The Human and Jake The Dog. I guess they really don't keep up with what's going on in the outside world.
• When Marceline's mom asks that she draw a "panda with a hat", the little girl complains that's silly and she wants to draw a "walrus in an overcoat".
• Marceline is on a quest to reconcile with her past. Bubblegum is on a quest to stop a dragon. These two goals combine...interestingly
  Marceline: I felt a wave of peaceful acceptance wash over me.
  Beat
  Princess Bubblegum: [dramatically falls to her knees] NOOOOOOOOOO!
• Since she and PB are back together, Marceline can't summon another angry, break-up song, so tries to come up with another angrier one.
  The other day!
  You used my brush!
  It was okay!
  I... didn't... mind...
• Glassboy inviting Marceline to checkout his favorite manga.
• Elise and Marcy try to play "I Spy With My Little Eye", but all the things around are pretty grim.
  Marcy: Is it that scorpion?
  Elise: No.
  Marcy: Is it the skeleton under the scorpion?
  Elise: Maybe we should play a different game.
• Marceline and Elise encountering the mutant wolf cub is extremely goofy with cheerfully shouting "wazzup". Though, the moment quickly turns into a Tear Jerker after Marcy sucks the soul of the cub's parent.
• There's something funny about the flashback to Bonnie and Marcy's first meeting. With them meeting at one of Marceline's shows, it almost seems to imply that Bubblegum started off one of Marceline's groupies.

Together Again

• Any time Finn reminds us that, despite his physical in the special, he is actually an old man.
• Finn asks for some of the fifty-flavor ice cream they've stolen as they're escaping down an incredibly long hallway. Jake takes the time to counsel him on patience.
  Jake: You can't just munch it down like any old snack. You gotta give it time.
  Finn: [contemplative] Ok. Yeah. You can't rush things.
  Jake: Exactly, dude. You can't rush—MAN THIS TUNNEL'S TAKING FOREVER! [punches a hole in the wall to escape through]
• New Death's disappointed assessment of the 50th Dead World.
  New Death: I hardcore schemed my way into a hippie choir?!
  Jake: Fifty's not just a place. It's a state of mind.
  New Death: ... That's the dumbest—that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
• The scene of Life shaping a soul for reincarnation.
  Soul: Please let me be something cool this time! [Life puts him in clay and moulds him into a bug] Oh. That's what I get for hoping.
  Life: [brings soul to the gate to the living world] Enjoy my gift, little one.
  Soul: I won't.
• New Death calling his hand his best friend.
• With the help of Tiffany, Finn and Jake sneak into New Death's castle disguised as their past lives (Shoko and her white tiger). Jake, however, is struggling to keep his form in check, and when Tiffany playfully slaps him, he farts. It's enough to blow their cover, as Shoko/Finn cracks up and Jake has a look of relief after passing gas.
• Though much of the final part of the episode is quite dark, Finn's reaction to Mr. Fox killing New Death by accident is quite hilarious. It turned out he and Jake were holding the Kiss of Life the wrong way.
  Finn: Oh. We were holding the Kiss of Life by the wrong...end.
• The way Jake defeats the Lich once and for all: By stomping on him like a bug and throwing him into the blackness of the sky. Not to mention the sheer shameless way the Lich tried to convince Mr. Fox to become his pawn like New Death was.
  The Lich: Yes. You've taken the crown, but without a strong right hand-
  * STOMP*
  Jake: GET OUTTA HERE!!
  The Lich: NOOO!!
• After Mr. Fox becomes the next Death all of the tormented souls in the 1st Dead World are ascend to their rightful Dead Worlds with hypoallergenic pillows... all of them except one.
  Wyatt: [peacefully] Wow, look at everyone go... without Wyatt.

Wizard City

• Bufo starts off class with going into his history as a dark wizard. When Larry starts to tell him off, that they are here to learn magic not his dark history, Bufo turns him into a rock.
  Bufu: How do you like me now Larry
  • staying a rock becomes a Running Gag, with everyone treating Larry like they they usually do
  Bufo: I expect you all to do well, including you Larry! (still a rock)
