Fridge Brilliance
- When running from Dictator Flanders' attack dogs, Homer pulls out some wieners, leading the audience to believe he's going to use them to distract the dogs, before he eats them himself. Guard and attack dogs are typically trained to ignore distractions of that nature, so (cartoon logic aside) they wouldn't have worked for that anyway.
Fridge Horror
- In "Nightmare Cafeteria", Homer is nowhere to be found even when Marge gives the kids useless advice or even comes to their rescue himself. That's because in Bart's mind, Homer is seen as fat, dumb, lazy, and worse than useless. In fact this is how he sees most adults living in Springfield in general.
- He appears in a deleted scene, where he actually ADVOCATES the eating of children. What this says about Bart's opinion of him is...open to interpretation.
Fridge Logic
- When Homer goes back to prehistoric times from the timeline where Flanders is a dictator, he decides that he's not going to touch or harm anything this time. That would solve literally nothing: if he doesn't do anything in the past, the present would be forever stuck in the dictator-Flanders timeline.
