• Fridge Brilliance: Mrs. Cantwell didn't reappear in later episodes to try and kill Lisa (and become her personal Sideshow Bob), and we all know what happened to those various babysitters who had to deal with Bart. It is entirely plausible that she suffered a Sanity Slippage like them, and she deserved it, making those battered babysitters a Foreshadowing.
