The Settlers III and IV

  • Q'nqüra ties both games together, as she is the only character aside from HIM (who is never actually seen, only heard) to appear in both games. Her exact role in the fourth game is unclear, but she was made goddess of the Amazons in the third game. She then begins a war against the three male tribes. After being asked by HIM what she is trying to accomplish, she reveals her plan to have the Amazons pretend to become subservient to the male tribes and control them from behind the scenes. HIM then makes her his private messenger. The next time we see Q'nqüra, she is banished to Earth along with Morbus. Given that Morbus was banished for attempting a rebellion against HIM, it's possible that Q'nqüra was spying for HIM, and is still doing so after Morbus is banished. The Trojan expansion then has her release the petrified Morbus, though the game never clarifies why she does this, and she is not seen again after that act.
  • The Shadowweed makes land infertile, but Morbus' magic mushrooms still grow. This makes sense, though - not only are these mushrooms likely an artificial creation, but mushrooms are neither plant nor animal, but fungi. Fungi do not require light to grow and synthesize any nutrients they may need from dead organic matter their spores landed on - in other words, the remains of the Shadowweed and the plants (and animals) it caused to die.

The Settlers: Heritage of Kings

  • At the end of the third mission of Heritage of Kings, "Crawford", the main antagonist of the game, Kerberos, is first seen, fleeing the scene. A later reveal makes it clear why he was there - his father Helias lives there, so it makes sense that he would oversee the siege personally..
