It might seem strange that Robin talks so highly of Luke to Jason, considering that they split acrimoniously, with Robin dissolving their partnership and destroying his bike, and Luke putting a gun in Robin's mouth and robbing him. However, Robin's primary character feature is loneliness. Robin has apparently never gotten another partner or companion in the fifteen years since Luke's death, giving Robin a lot of time to idealize their fleeting friendship.
