• Fridge Horror: Didn't find Technis' mutilation/Medical Rape and Impregnate of Swamp Thing disturbing enough? Then try on this detail: by the end of this sequence, Swamp Thing's body has been mutilated to death, and it was stated earlier in the episode that "of course" Technis never knew her own father. Read the text carefully enough and you'll catch the implication: the horrific acts Technis committed upon Swamp Thing are how all members of her species reproduce. Brrr.
• Fridge Logic: How do the Swamp Thing's eyes work? What are they made of that they can see like normal human eyes? Alan Moore famously established that the Swamp Thing's organs were just simulacrum made of plant tissue that didn't actually work — but one of the first things Swamp Thing does when he grows back from being shot in the head is read the file on himself, with eyes that it was just established don't work.
  • Plants can detect light, albeit by means very different from how animal eyes work. How else could they preferentially grow towards the sunlight they require? Swamp Thing's vision most likely uses the same phytochromes a mundane plant uses, to tilt its leaves to catch the sun's rays.
